My experience with BO has been positive for the most part. I've entrusted my eye care to them for over ten years. They come highly recommend. I'm recovering from cataract surgery. The attending physician was Dr. Deepan Selvadural, Dr. Selvadural has improved my near sighted vision. I no longer need to wear glasses to drive. Like most people, I never felt I looked good in them and my eyes have become too sensitive for contacts. I'm happy with the results. The problem I'm having is with a certain member of his team. I will mention no names nor positions. This individual knows who I'm talking about. When I inquired, when I could resume work he / she said I could return to my job the very next evening. I had my surgery 10:00 am and was told I could return to my job 7:00 pm the next evening. Meeting the doctor the very next morning, I heard an entirely different story. Dr. Selvadural laughed and said, not for at least two weeks. I had no choice but to apply for short-term disability. If anyone reading this has ever filed a disability claim, you know how cumbersome and time consuming it can be. Not to mention the long wait one goes through to be approved. That's provided the insurance company hasn't forgotten to send you one, two or possibly three essential documents that are vidal to you being approved or denied your claim. The insurance company sent an attending physician document to my doctor. The team member or the doctor filled out the paperwork. More so I believe the team member did so. Doctor's rarely have time for that sort of thing. That's what staff under the doctor gets paid to do. Even if for sake of argument the doctor did fill it out, it was the team members responsibility to review all documents prior to leaving the office. This is where a major mistake happened. The doctor forgot to sign the document. It happens. Doctor's have a lot on their minds throughout the day. It's the team members responsibility to check things like that. Now my claim is being held up. Today was a holiday for most businesses due to tomorrow being the 4th, so that's another day it's being held up. I'm not advocating for the dismissal of this employee, just that they need to step back, take a deep breath and focus on their responsibilities more diligently. Other than that, I'm happy with BO!

Wait was long. Had several tests done by a very good technician. However, the opthamalogist did not discuss any of them with me. Nor did she explain my eye condition of dry macular degeneration aside from giving me a list of vitamins to take along with a handout in a eye test to check if my eyes get worse. The entire appointment took 2 hours in which the doctor spent literally 4 minutes with me. I ended up going home and researching everything myself. Will not be going back.

All staff are warm and friendly and very professional! They were very much on time. And I only waited a few minutes between the various tests that were done. Dr. Bohm was very friendly and knowledgeable. She listened to what I had to say and understood my issues. She recommended some medications and said there are other things she could do if this didn’t work. I am very happy I went to see her.

My spouse had surgery and we could not be happier with the entire process. Staff at surgery center were very professional and attentive. The doctor did a great job. I recommend Buffalo Ophthalmology to anyone needed eye care.

Staff is welcoming but expect to wait, if you can complete your visit within an 75 minutes I count that as a win. Extremely busy doctors because they are outstanding but the flip side is the long waits.
