I’ve been a patient at Center for Sight for the past 6–7 years and have consistently had a pleasant experience. Dr. Brown is exceptional—kind, thorough, and incredibly accurate. He always takes the time to ensure I feel comfortable and well-informed. The front office staff and the rest of the optometry team are also warm, welcoming, and professional. However, my experiences with Corinne, the technician who is typically the first person patients see after check-in, have been consistently negative. During my most recent visit, I asked a simple question about whether it was necessary to repeat dilation and the eye pressure test since I had both done just one month prior. While discussing this, I referenced the “puff” test (not knowing the exact name), mentioning that I had that done during my last visit. She abruptly responded, “We don’t do the puff.” I clarified that whatever method is used to measure eye pressure—and the dilation—were both completed at my previous appointment, and asked if we could avoid repeating them since I had just paid for those services a month ago. She then bluntly stated, “We’re doing that today,” followed by, “We have to do that because we’re billing your insurance.” When I said I didn’t understand, she responded sharply, “What don’t you understand? We have to bill your insurance. Do you want us to bill your insurance?” Her tone was rude, and her body language felt confrontational, as she stood very close to me with what came across as an angry expression. When I asked, “Do we have a problem?” she abruptly said, “I will not be seeing you,” and brought me directly to the doctor. Afterward, I could hear her speaking about the situation once the door was closed. This was not an isolated incident—this is now the third time I’ve had an uncomfortable interaction with her. It’s especially disappointing because she is in a position where she sets the tone for the entire visit. I share this feedback because I truly value this practice and the care Dr. Brown provides. However, this level of interaction is not appropriate for patient care, and I hope it is addressed so that future patients do not have a similar experience.
Dr Brown is attentive, professional and thoughtful. He wants me to have the best vision possible. The staff is supportive and efficient.
Forms were difficult to fill out on line. When you had to fetch a code to confirm who you are it had to start over, bounced you out of the system…..try it with someone’s iPhone. Can’t get past the birthday. If you’re a patient returning after 2 weeks you probably don’t need to review all your medications for a follow up meeting.
My first visit was great.I recommend, they are very professional and the office well organized. Thank you.
