We always have a good experience at CMEA. Dr Hougland is very caring and professional and does a great job with our children. The staff are friendly, polite and understanding as well.
Dr. Green is awesome! However, the staff, not so much. When I picked up my glasses, the staff person acted like it was an inconvenience to help me. I couldn’t understand what she said because of her chewing gum. She sat slouched in her chair. Overall, not professional. I won’t go back.
I really enjoyed the doctor. However, the front office staff is absolutely horrendous. I have not been treated with such disrespect in a place of business like this. I had left a few voicemails with the staff about some issues I was having with my lenses. I never received a phone call back. The one and only time I did get someone to answer she told me to just come by to have my glasses looked at and adjusted, no appointment needed, just swing in. When I arrived the front office staff treated me as if I was an inconvenience. They actually told me to come back another day as they were "short staffed because of lunch breaks". I explained that I lived an hour away and would not be back up there for weeks. She rolled her eyes and put me on "the list". I waited for an hour and was still not seen by anyone. I notified the other front office staff that I had to leave, she simply said "ok". I had high hopes for this office as I really did like the doctor and felt like he helped me a lot. But because of the staff, my family and I will be in search of a new eye clinic.
I've unfortunately had to visit a lot lately do to some eye issues, but both Dr. Hougland and Dr. Thomas have been very caring, understanding, and helpful!
Was able to get me in the next day. Polite, knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend
