Dr Barber and his staff are very friendly where it puts you at ease. Fir someone with anxiety issues this is a big deal. I will miss Dr Barber, but I am happy for him and his pending retirement. I will continue to have my annual appointment with this office.

13 weeks for new glasses. First office visit took over 2 hours for simple eye exam. Ordered glasses and took 3 weeks to arrive and they were made wrong. Had to wait 10 days to schedule a reexam. Re-exam visit took 3 hours to complete. Reordered glasses and they were lost and failed inspection from the lab 3 times before arrival. When picking up new glasses, they were bent and needed severe adjustment. Office did not give regular updates, when trying to call the office the phone system went to VM and they would not return call for days after. Poor customer service.
I was a new patient today and I can’t say enough good things about the office staff. They were exactly what you would want in an office setting. Dr. Friedman on the other hand was very arrogant and rude. I have never in my life been treated the way he treated me today. He was sarcastic and acted like I was totally wasting his time. I will never go back to this practice again. He definitely needs to go to a seminar on how to treat patients. You would think with me being a new patient, he would have been better. No bedside manner at all!
My first call, the employee was very nice and patient setting up two appointments and inputting all the private insurances that we have. Plus making sure that the doctor was skilled in my eye history. Took roughly an hour. I called to set up a 3rd appointment for a minor, and the lady was nasty. Wanted to argue with me. Told me the doctor I was placed with did not accept one of my insurances and was new. Not to mention, she made a big deal about seeing my child. So I cancelled all of my appointments. It seemed as if she didn't want to put work in to keep nre clients. The amount of work that went into setting these appointments up, went out the window and it was a huge disappointment. However, I rather schedule an appointment with facility that has great customer service.
Dr Young continues to provide excellent care for me. He is very efficient in providing care but takes the time necessary to share details and answer all of your questions. The staff is outstanding as well. Very pleasant and detailed.
