I was asked after I was in the exam chair during the exam if I wanted to spend an extra $65 for different procedure. Why this was not taken care of ahead of time during check in is beyond me. I terminated my patient status immediately. I had been a patient of Dr Weintraub for years upon my mother's recommendation who was a patient of his for years. I immediately change my eye care provider and made a new appointment.

Everyone is wonderful at Carroll Vision Center, from the front desk to the Ophthalmic technicians / technologists and of course Dr. David Bittings. The eye exam included tests for various conditions: cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, etc. The eye exam took about 1 hour with eye dilation. I have been a patient here many years and feel I am properly informed about my eye care. Great experience!
The people are pleasant enough.. BUT. If you wear contact lenses, I highly recommend Americas Best instead. They have a nice large table in a semi private area with a sink and mirror and provide eye solution to help with removal and insertion, and a nice area to stay sanitary. This was not possible in this provider's bathroom. Confusing also to have appointments at varying locations depending on where the Dr is.
My concerns of my eyesight were not taken seriously and always brushed off. My exams always felt rushed and never fully thorough. Doctor had said I had perfect vision which was confusing to me due to me seeing floaters and my blurred vision and having little night vision, but he said it was normal and I had 20/20 vision. 2 years later, my eye sight is 3x worse and I expressed my concerns and doctor says “I literally just saw you 2 years ago and I already told you you had perfect vision” My concerns were not taken seriously and I told him I had NO night vision at all and he just didn’t seem to have any care. My boyfriend didn’t like the way my exam was rushed and how how my concerns weren’t taken seriously… I decided to have a second opinion and went to Levin Eye Care and from the moment I walked in, I was welcomed warmly and was even seen almost immediately. The doctor at Levon was so kind and listened to everything I had to say and took the time to just hear me out. She thoroughly did my exam and told me that I did NOT have 20/20 vision and was actually both near & far sighted and didn’t understand why the doctor even prescribed what he had prescribed because it would’ve been a completely incorrect prescriptions for my eyes. I knew deep down that Vision Carrol Center misdiagnosed me, but I still went back a second time. I tried giving them a second chance. But never again!
I went to Carroll Vision Center very last minute because my eye doctor didn’t have any openings and I needed to be seen for asap. They were able to fit me in an hour after I called. I was see by Dr. Duong who was super helpful and answered all my questions. I’ll definitely be going to him from now on!!
