I had an appointment scheduled for 3:20 pm and was extremely disappointed with the experience. After arriving, an associate took care of the initial part of my visit, but after that, I was essentially left waiting with little communication. When I was greeted by a sales associate, she was immediately very pushy about making a selection, only to abruptly start helping another customer without acknowledging me or letting me know there would be a delay. A simple “ I’ll be with you in a moment” would have gone a long way. When I called to confirm my selection, it was incorrect. If she had properly organized her time, that would not have been the case. Once I finished selecting my frames, I informed the front desk. Instead of simply letting me know the next step, the employee asked me to put the glasses on and “show her.” Considering I had already been waiting and had clearly completed my selection, the request felt unnecessary and irritating. Rather than helping move the process along, it came across as another delay and added to the feeling that my time was not being respected. My experience with the doctor was fine, besides the fact there was no apology for the wait. The staff came off as dismissive and made me feel that I was making a problem for expecting basic courtesy and communication. Good customer service starts with respecting patient’s time, communicating delays, and treating people with courtesy. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that standard.
I have been coming to Clarkson Eyecare in a Red Bank for years. Dr. Leibowitz is very nice, approachable, and thorough and the staff is equally wonderful! Maureen is top notch and this visit I met a new employee Miriam who for the first time was able to catch pictures of my eyes on the first try!! Very happy with my experience :)!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Leibowitz for over five years and highly recommend her. She is thorough, caring, and thoughtful, and always takes the time to make sure all of my questions are answered. I truly appreciate her expertise and the excellent care she provides.
Very professional and friendly. Everyone takes their time and explain things. It starts with the front desk having all my info ready and not having me wait, to the Dr explaining changes with my eyes and what needs to be monitored, then the office staff explaining options and helping me pick the most flattering glasses. I have been going to them for years and my family and I will continue to!
