I will start off by saying that Dr. Schwamb is amazing and I have been seeing him for many years now. He is definitely the reason I have stayed with this office! I just had an experience that I am not happy about. My prescription expired at the end of April and life got in the way, so I was not able to make an appointment with this office until the end of June. I was also using up the contacts I still had. I ordered a 30 day supply to get me through until my appointment (redoing a prescription online) but there was a delay with my shipment. I called to see if I could get a few pairs of trial contacts to hold me over but I was told they had nothing in stock and there was nothing else they could give me, so I was out of luck (literally their words). I called another location to see if they maybe had what I needed since my information was in their system. They called the St. Charles location to confirm it was okay to give me a few pairs and the St. Charles office refused to give approval. Very frustrated by this experience!!! Dr. Schwamb has always made it known that they can provide some trial pairs if I run out. There have been no changes to my vision and it hasn't been very long since it expired. I would understand if it had been several months and I needed my annual visit.

Dr. Dalton is always cheerful & informative! Jenifer greeted me on arrival. When I decided to take advantage of the frame special, she was very helpful in picking out some I really liked. She explained all the add-ons, like lens protection, etc. and the cost was still reasonable. Appreciated her help and her friendly smile!
I had such an amazing experience here from start to finish! The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and they made the whole process easy and enjoyable. The eye exam was thorough, and everything was explained clearly. Excellent customer service is hard to find these days, but this place truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality eyewear and a team that genuinely cares about their customers!
Vickie Coleman helped me through every step of my contact lens fitting. She was incredibly patient and supportive, especially since I was new to wearing contacts and having an extremely difficult time. She was also honest and practical, explaining that I would need to practice touching my eyes at home to get comfortable and be successful with putting the contacts in. I really appreciated her guidance and professionalism. I would highly recommend her as she is a pro at this.
The staff are friendly but I got a surprise expense at the end of my visit and I was off put . The VA contracts with this provider and I was seen for a complete eye exam that was supposed to be covered 100%. Then I am given a $120 bill at the end of the appointment saying that the VA didn’t cover all of the exams and contact “training”. The provider did not mention any services that were beyond the coverage of my insurance and would be expected out of pocket. It put such a bad taste in my mouth I decided to not come back.
