I had my appointment scheduled for a year in advance. About six months ago, I started getting weird emails from Clarkson that my prescription had expired and that I needed t come in for an appointment. They sent about one a month, even though I already had an appointment scheduled. They also kept sending me emails that I have “unused insurance benefits” that could be used to order glasses. A couple days before my appointment, they sent a text to “check in” in advance to save time once I get there, which I did, and at the end it told me that I would have to sign two forms when I arrive. I arrived about 30 minutes early to my appointment with the intention of selecting my frames. Instead, I was told I needed to fill out 3 forms front and back, give them my ID so they could “check” that nothing had changed, and give them my insurance card. I explained that I had already checked in, but apparently it didn’t go through so I had to re-fill out all of the forms. Fine. I was seen 10 minute after my appointment time, and the doctor was pleasant and I didn’t have any issues. When I went to leave, I told them that I wanted to order glasses (and use my “unused insurance benefits”). They informed me that the only person in the office who could help me with that was out on her lunch break, so I’d have to come back in just to order glasses. As I was checking out, the woman who went to lunch walked in with a large bag from olive garden, so it was clear that she was not going to be able to help me anytime soon (they said I could wait “about 40 minutes” for her). No thanks. Next time I’ll go somewhere closer to my house and hopefully their online check in will work, and I will actually be able to order glasses while I’m there.

Dr. Jacobs is great. The staff is nice but there are a lot of floats that work here who either dont care for their job or dont know what they are doing. It was the first time my daughter was getting her contacts. A float did her contact eye exam. She kept repeating I'm just filling in, I usually dont work at this location. When her prescription was in, it was so blurry she couldn't see. A float taught her how to put her contacts in and out. She kept telling them it was blurry and she couldn't see through them. They kept saying it was from the irritation of taking them in and out. No one was listening to her and they just didn't seem to care. A week later we had an appointment for a follow up... they canceled an hour before our appointment. Thats totally fine emergency happens. I am just frustrated at this location, dont bother going to this location because you will be wasting your time.
Another great yearly check up in the books. Thank you Dr. finger for your patience, and calming voice all the way to Toni and Lyra for making the ordering process, informative and a breeze. Great job everybody!
I saw Dr. Jacobs for the first time today, she was very pleasant and easy to talk to, very professional, and attentive to getting my vision to the best it could be. The staff were equally friendly and anxious to be helpful. It was a relaxed atmosphere and I was very glad I chose to come here.
My husband had an appointment on 5/2/26 which was a Saturday. (This appointment was made at least 2 weeks prior to his Saturday appointment. Upon arrival it was a mess. The 2 front receptionist didn't even know how to log in to their computers nor did they know anything about his optical coverage we have under his medical insurance plan. Therefore he was charged full price for his eye exam as they're rushing him out the door they were telling him to come back next week to pick out his frames. This resulted in me contacting the billing department (which is who I was transferred to) the following Monday. This is now Wednesday and no one has called me back. This resulted in my husband's hesitation to go back to pick out his frames and lenses which he finally went on Tuesday 5/4/26 and finally his insurance was accounted for with his insurance discounts. He had mentioned to them his experience over the weekend and told them he had to pay full price for his eye exam. Apparently nothing was credited or done with his eye exam so this brings me right back around to call someone again to get this billed correctly and who knows how long it will take for our refund. Very poor service as far as we're concerned especially when the appointment was made weeks before his appointment date without insurance being verified leading myself and my other 2 children to make appointments elsewhere.
