My brother was referred to this ophthalmology office after an ER visit following an accident, and we were specifically told he needed to be seen as soon as possible because it was an emergency referral. When I called the front office to explain the situation, the staff member I spoke with "Sandra" I believe that was her name was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of showing any concern or trying to help, she simply said there were no openings until the following week and was unpleasant when discussing my brother’s insurance, even though he does have insurance coverage. I understand schedules can be full, but the lack of compassion and professionalism during a stressful medical situation was very disappointing. Patients dealing with emergencies deserve to be treated with respect and empathy, especially when they are trying to navigate insurance and urgent follow-up care.
