The Cleveland Sight Center is a treasure! Upon our first visit to the Center, we were welcomed by Mr. Jim! They offer a lot of resources and services for the blind and visually impaired. They have their own parking lot. The parking is free!
Our last visit was for a technology fair for people who are blinding low vision and it was a very informative event. I have used their services before and the staff has been great and very helpful. Also have made use of some of their activities like tandem bike riding which was a lot of fun and I hope they will do more of this in the future. Excellent resource that more people should be aware of.
I was having breakfast in the Hotel opposite and noticed a blind Gentleman by the road. I left my breakfast and crossed over and approached him gently and said good morning to you Sir how are you doing? Do you need any help? He was pleased for the offer but was just getting some fresh air. I ended up having a nice conversation with him. I was pleased I had offered my help today and wish your Sight Center all the best.
The services that they offer to low vision patients is amazing. We are so blessed to have them here in Cleveland. I just attended the white cane walk and was impressed with all the hard work and planning that was needed for this event. I was something that I plan to attend again. This was their 18th year and up until recently I never heard of the White Cane Walk. The staff is very committed to the service of their clients.
