Extremely professional and delivered the best care I have ever experienced. They took their time and listen to all your concerns. The doctor cleared her busy schedule to make sure I could get fitted for contacts. They were months out and she fit me in a week later. I was extremely grateful and speaks volumes of their patient care

My eye health is always in great hands at Coastal Vision! The staff is friendly at both the Red Mill and Salem locations, and I find it easy to get an appointment in a timely manner. Dr. Scott Nilsson is always professional, very friendly, and thorough in his patient care. He is very knowledgeable, explains things so you can understand them, and puts your mind at ease. Dr. Nilsson has been so helpful in maintaining my current vision before I get cataract surgery sometime this year. I am also very grateful to him for helping me save money during this process as well. I appreciate Dr. Nilsson at Coastal Vision very much and will always trust him to take the best care of my eyes. Highly recommend!
I had my eye exam at the Redmill office which went well. Doctor Williams was very thorough and took his time to explain and answer any questions I had. The lady who set up some of the tests before seeing Doctor Williams was very nice and knew what she was doing. After the exam and getting my prescription I was looking at frames in the store. I could not find any that I really liked or felt comfortable wearing. And didn't want to compromise this time. I asked if they had different selection at the Salem store on Lynnhaven and was told some sure carry different brands. The Salem store was about a twenty minute drive from Red Mill. Went there and told them had exam at other store and couldn't find any I like or for good. I was met by Nolan, one of the Opticians there and told him my story, said he knew just what I needed. He went into a drawer he dug through to find a pair. I tried these on and they eye the best plastic frames I ever tried on. They felt great and did not slide down my nose for the first time ever without adjustable nose pads that need to be adjusted so the time. This was one of my top two experiences ever getting glasses. I have been with Coastal Vision for about 23 years and this was the best fitting glasses ever. Nolan seems very educated and to knowing how to fit different customers facial features. I could not ask for more. While I was there I looked for some sunglasses and Veronica was helping me with that. She was the first one ever to let me know you could order something not in stock to try on, so I always thought you only had the choices that were on display. Between Nolan and Veronica this was the best experience I've had getting glasses. Sorry they can't carry all the same brands at each office because now I'll be going to Salem office because they carry the glasses that fit my facial features. Both offices are good. Thank you, Bruce Cohen
We’ve enjoyed our experience with Coastal Vision’s Red Mill location over the past few years! Dr. T is their pediatric optometrist who is in the Red Mill location on Wednesdays. She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure my kids felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. Her patience and kindness really stood out, and I appreciated how she took the time to answer all our questions without rushing. Jacob and Joseph were our technicians and helpful and oh-so-patient with helping my kids learn how to use contact lenses for the first time. The office itself is bright, clean, and welcoming. The waiting room is thoughtfully designed with a few small toys, movies, and magazines, which is perfect for families or anyone who needs a little distraction while they wait. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. T, Jacob and Joseph for anyone looking for top-notch care in a friendly, comfortable environment. :)
⭐☆☆☆☆ I am very disappointed with my experience at Coastal Vision Suffolk location. I have a 5-year-old daughter who does not like wearing glasses and becomes frustrated during eye exams. During our visit, Dr. Gonzalez was not understanding or patient with the situation. My daughter was struggling to answer whether she could see the images, and instead of helping find a child-friendly way to get accurate results, Dr. Gonzalez seemed frustrated and told me that as her mother, I needed to convince her to provide the right information. I expected more patience and support from a pediatric eye care professional. The front desk experience was also disappointing. I was told my daughter’s follow-up appointment would be scheduled for 6 months later, but it was scheduled much further out. In addition, I was told the printer was out of ink and that my daughter’s prescription would be emailed to me. It has now been two weeks, and I still have not received it. Because of this delay, I have been unable to order new lenses for my daughter, whose prescription changed from +1.50 to +2.75 Overall, the lack of patience, communication, and follow-through made this a very frustrating experience.
