I found great frames and had my new glasses quickly. I also needed a frame adjustment on some dark glasses - they did that too. Over the weekend I fell (while in New Mexico), required stitches and my left lens was scratched deeply. I called Monday, they said they would start on a replacement lens right away (in time for my trip to Egypt!) Great and prompt customer service!!

I ended up switching optical clinics after a really disappointing experience. From the moment I mentioned to the front desk that I have Medicaid (I’m a student and qualify), I felt like I was treated differently. The exam itself wasn’t great either. I tried to engage with the provider during the appointment, but they barely spoke to me unless it was to give instructions. It felt very impersonal and dismissive. After the exam, I needed new glasses. I had a budget of around $400 in case Medicaid didn’t fully cover the cost, but I never even got the chance to explain that. The two staff members helping me simply pointed to a shelf and told me those were my options based on my insurance. When I asked about other lenses or paying out of pocket for more options, I was told, “Well, most of these are not going to be expensive,” which felt discouraging and dismissive. Overall, the experience felt dehumanizing. I ended up going to another clinic and paying out of pocket just to receive more respectful, attentive care.

Insurance is VSP but for some reason front desk said I wasn't covered. A colleague of mine with the same insurance was able to get the same service covered. Anyways, going elsewhere. Disappointing

I had two fantastic experiences with College Optical. My first was with Dr. Holland, who performed one of the most thorough contact lens exams I have ever had, and the lenses fit perfectly. My second experience was an emergency eye checkup due to an infection. I was able to get a same-day appointment and saw Dr. Koditek. He was amazing—he explained every detail clearly and let me don't hesitate to call the after-hours number if things got worse. He knows his stuffs and is really caring. At the end of the visit, the front desk billed my medical insurance instead of vision without me having to ask. Overall, a fantastic experience with all the doctors and staff. Highly recommend to everyone.

Best eye exam experience I’ve ever had. Detailed and specific. Best in depth processing of what is happening I’ve ever received from an optometrist. They also followed up post appointment to immediately correct a contact lens order! Thank you!
