Love this new Costco open strategically in Custer Rd and SH121 - it’s very convenient to shop here. This Costco is huge and so well managed. The items are well merchandised and staff is courteous. There’s ample parking outside and gas station has many pumps. Costco always attracts its huge fan base and this location is an addition to its north Dallas outreach.

Clean, organized, large. Kind of disappointed in variety of options compared to Sam’s Club, and some of Costco’s prices on a lot of staple grocery items are actually higher than you’d find at most supermarkets if you just clip their digital coupons, but Costco is cool and I like it. And it’s a much more convenient location for me than any other option.
I stopped by the new Costco on Stacy Road, and it definitely feels bigger than the one on Dallas Parkway. The gas station alone can handle around 32 cars at once, which is super convenient, and the parking lot has noticeably more room too. I went on the second day after opening, so it was packed, but even with the crowd the store was really well-organized and easy to get around. They’ve also got a few new items I haven’t seen at other locations, which made the visit feel fresh and worth checking out.
I finally checked out the new Costco in Allen a week after the grand opening (I knew the first couple of days would be packed) and I’m glad I waited. The store is impressively clean, spacious, and well-organized, with a wider range of items than I’ve seen at other locations. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall layout makes shopping feel less rushed since the aisles are bigger and easier to navigate. The parking lot also feels roomier with wider spaces, though I do think they could use a few more cart return stations for convenience. And of course, no Costco trip is complete without a stop at the food court. The legendary $1.50 hot dog combo is still going strong after all these years, and I enjoyed it like a man who had just reached the end of a pilgrimage. Shoppers in Allen, Plano, Frisco, and McKinney definitely have a reason to be happy with this new location.
l've been a Costco member since 2009, and today I had one of the most disappointing experiences l've ever had at the Costco on Stacy Road in Allen. I arrived just three minutes before 10:00 a.m. and walked toward the entrance. There was an employee standing by the card scanner, so l scanned my membership card. He then stopped me and told me I had to go back and wait because the store wouldn't open for another three minutes. What really bothered me was that I could clearly see people going in and out of the store. When I asked why they were allowed in, he told me it was because l am not an Executive Member. So, because I have a regular membership instead of an Executive Membership, I was made to wait outside for three minutes while others were allowed in? As a loyal Costco customer since 2009, I found that treatment disrespectful and discriminatory. I even told the employee, "If waiting three more minutes makes you feel better, I'll wait." It wasn't about the three minutes, it was about how I was treated. After being a loyal customer for so many years, I expected better customer service and more respect. This experience left a very bad impression, and I don't plan on returning to the Stacy Road Costco in Allen.
