Costco Optical

I have been a loyal patient of the Costco optometry office in San Dimas for over 10 years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has convinced me that my family and I will no longer be doing business here. I recently ordered contact lenses and was told they would take approximately two to three weeks to arrive. In the meantime, I was given temporary daily disposable lenses. Yesterday, after running out, I sent my two daughters to pick up additional temporary lenses. They waited in the office for over two and a half hours before anyone acknowledged them. It wasn’t until a manager, whom I believe was named Tommy, noticed they had been sitting there the entire time and instructed the front desk employee to help them immediately, saying they had been waiting far too long. There is simply no excuse for two young girls to be ignored for over two hours in a waiting room. The fact that it took a manager noticing the situation before they received assistance speaks volumes about the lack of attention and customer service at the front desk. After more than a decade of loyalty, this experience has cost you not only my business, but my family’s as well. I strongly encourage the doctor and management to take a serious look at who is representing the practice at the front desk. One employee’s lack of professionalism can undo years of trust and damage the reputation of an otherwise respected office. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this serves as constructive feedback so another family doesn’t have to experience the same level of neglect that mine did.

I went to this Costco in San Dimas on (05/03/26) to get my contact lenses prescription, and had the privilege of meeting a highly ill mannered woman. I was 20 minutes late to my appointment, and I was greeted by a young polite receptionist. She was trying to check me in, but an older woman next to her interrupted and stated ‘if she is late, put her at the end of the list’. This alone told me how lacking in etiquette she is. Her mannerisms were jarring. I literally sighed inside, it was so unpleasant. And then she further tells me it will be an hour wait. I did not want to engage with this woman as she was utterly distasteful. To the optometrist, I suggest that you either train this uncouth woman in proper customer service, and pleasant speaking customs, or get rid of her. Let the polite young woman at the reception handle your business dealings, her mannerisms are pleasant and she seems educated. This review is for the optometrist office and not the optical center. This woman works in the office of the optometrist

1st time here. I would like to Thank Nathan for the great eye examination easygoing. Lastly the best Grace was so helpful and very patient helping me pick out the best eye glasses along with some new sunglasses. Please definitely ask for Grace for your next visit to help you get the very best service.

There is a man named Pierce who works in your optical department in San Dimas. My family, all 6 of us, have gotten all of our contact, glasses, cleaners, frames & optical needs ever since this stores opening. When Pisrce serves us, he is always Personal. Professional. Patient & Competent at addressing our needs. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone who needs optical care. If ANY one deserves a raise at this Costco…. It’s him please give him whatever he needs to keep him there ❤️Timothy OBrien
