I had a very disappointing experience at Costco Optical. My kid and I stood there for about 15 minutes with a copy of her prescription while two employees were assisting other customers. Not once did either employee make eye contact, acknowledge my presence, or even let me know that they would help me once they were finished. If appointments are required, there was a QR code available to make one, but basic communication would have helped. Even a simple “We’ll be with you shortly” or “You’ll need an appointment” would have made a big difference. Being completely ignored for 15 minutes was frustrating and felt very unwelcoming.
