I've been to quite a few Costco locations around the area—Oak Brook, Melrose Park, Niles, Ashland, and several others. I had heard about this Costco Business Center and was curious to check it out, thinking it might be a completely different experience from a regular Costco. The store is definitely huge, but overall I didn't find it dramatically different from other Costco locations. The prices seemed pretty similar to what I've seen elsewhere. The biggest difference was in the produce section, where many items are sold in much larger quantities. You'll find things like 10- to 20-pound bags of onions, potatoes, and other produce, which makes sense for restaurants and small businesses. They also carry a lot more kitchen equipment, food service supplies, and deli items than a typical Costco. If you own a restaurant, food truck, or catering business, you'll probably appreciate the selection. I ended up spending over $300 on groceries, so there were definitely plenty of things worth buying. Overall, it's a good store and worth visiting if you're curious about the Business Center concept. That said, for the lowest prices on bulk restaurant supplies, I still think Restaurant Depot has the edge.

I had an absolutely amazing time at the Costco business center, it was my first time going after having a Costco membership for multiple years. I live in Wisconsin and it was a 2 Hour Drive and I feel like it was completely worth it. Being able to buy meat and bulk was really nice at the price that it was at. I also love how they offer a ton more beverage options than the regular Costco along with snack snacks as well. I highly recommend going at least once to see what they all have to offer!

Great Halal Variety, But a Dangerous, Recurring Quality Control Issue I really want to love this Costco Business Center. It is fantastic that they carry such a wide variety of halal products, especially their grass-fed beef from New Zealand, which is high quality and very well-priced. For families and businesses looking for these specific items, their inventory is a massive asset. However, I have to give a severe warning regarding their meat department. On three separate occasions, I have purchased completely rotten meat from this location—specifically chicken, fish, and beef. I don't know exactly where the breakdown is happening—whether it's an issue with their store refrigeration, shipping, or how long inventory sits out—but selling spoiled meat multiple times is a massive health hazard. While the prices on these halal items are excellent, it is absolutely not worth the risk of getting your family or your customers sick. If you are purchasing meat here, please be incredibly careful and check the product thoroughly before you cook or serve it. We have a responsibility to the people we feed. I truly hope management looks into their entire meat supply chain and storage process immediately, because the community desperately needs a safe, reliable source for these products.

I heard about this mystical place from a handful of friends. After a couple of weeks of trying to figure out how to get there I finally pulled the trigger and set out. It is in the middle of nowhere, it's actually unclear to me why they placed it here to begin with. On the onset it looks just like any other Costco except the sign on the outside says "Costco Business Center". There is a Costco gas station attached to it as well. However, once you go inside it is like Costco, Aldi, and Restaurant Supply Warehouse merged into one store. Unless there's a very specific item you're looking for, or you just happen to be living near this place, there's no reason to make a journey out to this location.

Costco just robbed me. Got a Christmas gift and returned it to this Costco in exchange for a gift card (which I’ve done before). The person returning the items for me immediately elected the option to return it to the original credit card, meanwhile “asking me” if that was what I wanted. No. It was a gift. So therefore, the money should come back _to me_. That’s how gifts work. He was immediately apologetic, and asks his manager. She says, “Nope, doesn’t matter, it’s our policy to return it back to the initial method of payment,” and they can’t/won’t undo it. I know that’s not true because, like I said, I’ve done this before without issue. So that’s that and there was absolutely zero attempt to even look into it to try to rectify the matter for me, meaning that I am being penalized for their mistake. It’s either pure laziness or incompetence. What you’re really saying is Costco doesn’t want you to buy gifts from their warehouse. I can’t imagine that would be the directive from corporate. I know I sure won’t do anymore holiday gift buying here (or any gifts for that matter). What really grinds my gears is that the “manager” was completely ruthless about it, in a very calm and matter of fact way. So, I hope you didn’t get a Christmas gift from Costco that you need to return because you’re gonna get robbed. It’s their policy. Yep, Happy Holidays. Great last day of the year. Can’t wait for the new year—2025 can kick rocks.
