I had such a great experience here! Doctor Leylani was very attentive, kind, and a really pleasant person to talk to. You can truly feel his years of experience and professionalism — it made me feel comfortable and confident right away. This is definitely the kind of doctor you want to come back to. The exam was very thorough, and I received prescriptions for both glasses and contact lenses with clear explanations. I also want to mention that the contact lenses I got here fit me perfectly and feel very comfortable — which is a big deal for me since I’ve had several bad experiences with contacts in the past. And the receptionist — she was amazing! She patiently helped me learn how to put in contact lenses for the first time (which took me a while 😅). She was so calm, supportive, and explained everything step by step. Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved Dr. Melanie P. Nichol! She was direct, efficient, and refreshingly genuine. No unnecessary small talk or forced niceness. Just clear, thorough care. I stopped in during my lunch break and was able to complete paperwork, get all my questions answered, have a full eye exam, and learn how to insert, remove, clean, and store my contacts. All in about 30 minutes! They even had my prescription in stock, so I walked out wearing my contacts the same day!

I had my eye exam at Costco Optical today. The optometrist seemed to be having a bad day — she didn’t greet me, introduce herself, or call me by name and gave me the cold shoulder. The entire appointment felt very mechanical: no small talk, no smile, just rapid testing and a prescription. It was efficient, but completely lacking any personal touch. I wish she feels better by the end of the day

The only thing I buy from Costco is contact lenses and glasses. I went in to return the wrong prescription and the whole thing was such a hassle. The lady working there didn't know what she was doing and returned the wrong item. I was so annoyed I almost lost the $30 and said forget it. I came back and the manager seemed to think it was funny. I have had a much better experience at the Glenview store.

On a Friday, I walked into Costco with my prescription from an optometrist, and was greeted by Michelle right away. She was so friendly and helpful that the process was pleasant and fun. They have a large selection of frames, and she helped me pick a frame that I liked, and that would be good for progressive lenses. She took some measurements, and my payment. She said it would be up to 10 days. I got the text on Tuesday that my glasses were ready. Again, I walked in, and was helped right away. My glasses came in an attractive case with a cleaning cloth, and they're amazing. I can drive, read, and see my phone perfectly. The cost is much less than the other optometrist would charge. I recommend, and will go back when I need glasses.
