Costco Optical

The last time I bought any glasses was at the Costco Optical Department nine years ago. I had a nice experience then, so I returned. The optician who helped me, Emely Lira, was very patient, professional, and great to deal with. She did not pressure me at all to buy glasses or to select particular ones but rather answered my many questions knowledgeably. If the ones I picked are ultimately not to my liking (they will be ready in seven to ten days), that is on me.

What a terrific place to get an eye exam! Everything was well done. They do a terrific job, and are very thorough in explaining everything that was found. We got a prescription, my partner got her very first pair of glasses. Highly Recommended!

Super easy to book online for an exam after I learned one could book online. Called the number which in return provided the website that I didn’t find online prior to the call. Exam was seamless; albeit quick. The doctor and assistant were nice. Exam rooms were clean. The woman who helped me choose glasses was nice but ended up directing me wrong. I’ve been back a couple of times and it’s not consistent either the assistance and wait times are always long… Some staff are helpful while others are more concerned about conversations with their peers. It’s unclear how well they are trained with fitting glasses, etc.

Yes it's cheap, but the coverage they offer does not cover the frames. When we purchase the coverage the man that sold us the glasses stated that as long as we brought the glasses they'll replace them. It's not my first time buying classes for my 13 year old so I know what coverage I need. I agreed to do them here. Two months later the leg of the frame fell off. Come to get them fixed or replaced end up being told the coverage is for the lens, I need to buy new frames. At the end they ended up costing the same as when I get them done for her at lenscrafters with the difference that at lenscrafters if they break they get replaced for only 25 bucks and I get them the same day.

Efficient and cost effective eye exams run by courteous doctors and staff. I recommend this place.
