I picked out glasses here and Randy and Glenda were a great help. They are both well trained and willing to help with feedback on how well the frames hit and also on how well you look in that color and style 😍. I am always challenged to pick out glasses and appreciated their expertise. Glenda has years of experience being a optical advisor and wrote up my purchase; she is very patient, kind, and helpful with observations to guide you in the right direction with fit, style and color. Thanks Glenda and Randy; you two are an awesome asset to this Costco vision center 💓

The optical is split into two different departments, the ophthalmologist does NOT take insurance. When I made my appointment they didn’t mention it, I also failed to ask because my husband was there previously with no issue. To fill contact lenses since different departments they DO take insurance. There are no signs or anything to let you know they are straight out of pocket.
I have been to this Costco optical a couple of different times and the customer service is so-so, but today it bottomed out and with the Optical Manager of all people. Argumentative, rude and arrogant. I don’t need to save money this badly. And you would think that since the last overall rating is not great and most of the complaints are regarding customer service, Costco would get a better manager and staff in there. If you can’t be kind and helpful to customers, why are you in a customer service position?!?
(Review of optometrist only) Dr. Leppek was nice and professional. The visit required an appointment but went very quickly. I was ten-fifteen minutes late but they weren't upset. There were forms to fill out, as usual. It cost $95 for the visit and a retinal exam. There was a machine instead of getting my eyes dilated (that would have been $20 cheaper). No credit cards, cash or check only. I left with an itemized receipt to try to get a reimbursement from VSP. I didn't use the optical shop yet, but it was packed and many people were in line (around 2pm). Frames were $49.99 up to $109.99+. Many of the selections were $59.99.
Amy made ordering my contacts a breeze. Great prices. Great selection. Would give extra stars just for her if I could. Great department with great people. Can't go wrong getting your glasses and contacts from here.
