First time ever getting glasses through Costco. I haven't gotten the glasses yet, but I gotta say, you can't beat the price that they're charging for quality frames and lenses. Nice Ray-Ban frames and high-index transition lenses for high myopia, for less than 270 out the door is about as good as it gets. I can't see myself going anywhere else for glasses ever again. Thanks Costco Optical!

The actual vision exams themselves are fine, but the system they that they use for the trial contact lenses work is pretty horrible. It's also really hard to set up an appointment? If you call them to set up an appointment, they'll force you to fill out a form on a website instead. That form promises that they'll reach out to you within one business day, but in the past 3 years I have only actually had them reach out to me once. The other 2 times I had to go to a different optometrist in the city because the promised phone call to set things running never came. Why can't we just set up an appointment over the phone like every other doctors and specialist office? If a system ain't broken then don't fix it.

For some reason, I expected the standard Costco quality from the vision center in this location, naturally. But, alas, nowhere near! First, the optical staff is unlike the knowledgeable Costco staff, like the wonderful people at the checkout or in the Deli and everywhere else... Optics people are very aloof. You may think that it's because it's a health-related issue and they don't want to be liable. No, they really don't care; they think that we regulars who try to see better don't know any better. I got a prescription progressive lenses and frame in this place. Person who helped me was ok, but didn't answer any of the key questions about the progressive lenses, which was a first for me. I don't have any problem about the lenses now, since I followed some internet guidelines and used it about an hour everyday for a couple days and then as my brain adjusted I loved it. But, even this information was not given by the person who helped me with my order... Now I realize, though, I selected the wrong frame!! And I think this was their job to know that. Then, unfortunately, I ordered another set of fixed prescription lenses. It's been more than a week now and still not finished. When I went there to check my order and ask for the issues about the frame of my progressive lenses, I was flat out gaslighted. :( The frame creaks a lot, and the person was telling me that "if I pull it apart it's normal to hear some creaking sound and I should put on my glasses with minimal stretching!" Really? So folks, I'm sure that there are plenty of places in Ann Arbor who deliver nice quality service for your pupils, stay away from this place because it's not Costco, it's run by some other people. Buy your meat, and other essentials but no prescription lenses..

Costco provided good service and price. One thing is my eye med insurance does not Cover me a penny. Even though it seems lower price than other stores.

Got new glasses two weeks ago at Costco. Spent $260 on them. Tried wearing them for about two weeks and they were super uncomfortable, they were killing the bridge of my nose. I went back 4 different times to have them adjusted and even after all that I could only wear them for about 4 hours without them feeling super heavy on my face. I think the reason for this is because the ones I got were quite a bit larger than what I am used to. I kept having to go back to my old prescription glasses that I have had for two years. I went to Costco today to see if I could return them because they were so uncomfortable. After I explained that I had them adjusted 4 different times and that they were still hurting the bridge of my nose, she said no problem and that I could exchange them for a different pair. I decided on a pair that is smaller like I am used to wearing. Thinking these will be much better. I will know when the new ones come in in two weeks. I must say the customer service was fabulous today! They were super nice and happy to help. An added bonus is that the new ones I picked out were $40 less than the ones I originally bought, so I got $40 cash back. Can’t wait to get the new ones! Thank you Costco for making life easy..... #WellWorthTheMembershipFee
