We have vision insurance as a retired teacher, but at Costco it cost less than half for same quality of glasses compared to using our insurance elsewhere. Eye exam was great and got answers to all my questions. Front desk person was disengaged ( bored ? depressed ?) But the doc is great.

I don't understand the bad reviews on this place at all. Even with self-pay, the cost for vision test+ retinal imaging without dilation was very reasonable. Dr. Franssen was extremely thorough, professional, and explained everything to me in detail. The staff was very kind. I was in and out very quickly. Very satisfied.
They ended up messing up my eye prescription and I asked to see a different eye doctor. The manager said they would give me a call back to set up a new appointment and I waited for their call for almost a month. I called back and they said they had tried calling me but I never received a call from them. Since there was no resolution I asked for a refund but they said because of their policy they couldn’t give me a refund. However, when I had gone in for my original eye exam, they did not give me time to read over the paperwork or sign before getting my exam done.
Stopped in to see the doctor on duty at Village Vision while shopping at Costco. I had a concern about a possible contact left in my eye. Dr. Nguyen was on duty & had a little time between appointments. I've been a patient at Village Vision for years. I asked if she could take a quick courtesy peek at my eye to see if a contact somehow was lodged? Yes, she could for an office charge of $55. Really? My family and I will be getting eye exams elsewhere. Very disappointed.😔
After 8 years of trying to build a patient history with what I hoped was a responsible professional vetted by Costco…I must report that these people are rude and unprofessional and will waste your time with no remorse or flexibility. Dr Holtz and her receptionist both looked hung over, did not answer the office phone, and treated me like crap when I showed up a few minutes late (after leaving a message that I hit traffic due to an accident). I wish I had my patient history with a doctor I could keep a good professional relationship with. This one does not care. She does not have to earn her business. Costco provides it. I’d rather trust someone else with my eyes moving forward.
