Revision: Had a good experience recently with two new optical technicians, Sharon and Jorge — both were professional and helpful. I am raising a star for the place thanks to them! I have to agree with others who mentioned poor service — Sandy was rude, and her manager wasn’t much better. Beyond the attitude, their lack of expertise in properly setting the segment height for progressive lenses led to multiple issues. They also charged for premium features like edge polish and ultra-high index lenses, but the results didn’t match what was paid/promised. On several occasions, we had to get the glasses redone at a different Costco location just to get them right. Instead of taking accountability, they get angry at us because we went elsewhere to fix the problems. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience. During a recent visit, we noticed some new faces but weren’t sure if there had been a management change. Hopefully things are improving — it would be much more convenient not to have to travel a long distance to correct the mistakes made by the Nesconset Vision Center.

I had another wonderful experience at the Costco in Lake Grove, NY. I like change up my look with new eyeglasses every 18 months! The optician Alan was so patient in helping me select new frames…They have updated the entire optical department which I feel is now so much more personal, user-friendly and professional. I’ve only been using this Costco for all my optical needs, and highly recommend it. Kudos to Alan and his entire team!
Sandra was extremely rude, hostile and aggressive towards my mother and I. She snapped and yelled at me when I told her that I can get Warby Parker frames for almost half the price of the Nike frames she was trying to sell me. She aggressively up sold us and the final price came to about $365 for prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. Also, I was able to use my insurance for the Warby Parker lenses saving me $60. Sandra didn’t even ask about insurance. At the end of her failed sale Sandra raised her voice and shouted at my mother and I - “GO ACROSS THE STREET TO WARBY PARKER AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS”. I saved $200 going through Warby Parker. I felt threatened by Sandra and the rest of our day was ruined. Avoid this Costco Vision Center at all costs. Sandra will try to rip you off and when you don’t buy from her she’ll get upset and shout aggressively.
They first told me a can use my frames then after I pay 130 dollars for my eye exam they told me I couldn’t use my frames. They are not friendly
