Buying online is incredibly easy, but returning items is just as difficult. First, you have to go to the store and scan a QR code—and not at the main Costco returns counter, mind you, but specifically at the optical department's returns counter. Scanning the code generates an estimated wait time. Naturally, you have to wait—though, of course, you are free to continue shopping in the meantime. Once your turn comes up, they send you a text message notification. However, when you return to the counter after receiving the text to actually process the return, the staff members are completely indifferent and dismissive; everyone acts as if they are incredibly busy and have far more important things to attend to—as if your time holds absolutely no value. Consequently, I do not intend to purchase any eyewear products from their website in the future, nor will I handle any eyewear-related transactions at their in-store counter.
