My son was given a new prescription for glasses and we filled it at Costco where we have been a member for 10 years. The employee who originally helped us made a mistake. He was supposed to order progressive lenses and when I went to pick up my sunglasses they were not progressive. The employee who was then helping us told us instead of returning the lenses that we could get a second pair using the $50 off coupon for buying two and just have a separate pair of readers instead of buying progressive. I said actually I think that’s a good idea. It’s probably hard for a nine-year-old child to use progressive she said yes, and you should’ve been presented this as an option by the original employee who helped you and since they didn’t, I’m going to give you this $50 discount because you should’ve received it in the first place. When we were called to come back in and get the second pair of glasses, the readers the original pair of glasses have spent the past week falling off his face. So I brought them in to be tightened up. They could not be tightened significantly enough to where they won’t keep sliding off his nose. So then I asked to enact the policy where you have 90 days to return your glasses satisfaction guaranteed. This employee who had had an attitude from the moment we went up to her then said I have to go ask my manager and I said well why because this is your policy. She went and asked her manager. Her manager said well if we do this for you you have to pay the $50 $50 back that we gave you on the original sale. I said why would I have to pay $50 when I never made the mistake another employee made the mistake and I am now just receiving a second pair of glasses because of somebody else’s mistake your employee presented me with an option. I said that was fine. I didn’t ask to be credited. I accepted her solution to your mistake. The policy is that I have 90 days to return this. The manager still said no, and told me that I had to pay the $50. I said then I want to speak to a manager above you. This whole thing happened for an hour. Then finally, the manager above this manager, who never came to speak to me or get my side of what happened did approve the refund, but I was snarly told that they would not do this kind of exception again. The entire experience was very uncomfortable very unprofessional and Costco‘s policies. You can basically return anything. I have never asked for an exception prior to this and to be mistreated and the employee who was helping me constantly help for other customers in the meantime while she’s doing my transaction prolonging this already long process because she’s clearly ticked off was ridiculous. It is not the quality I’ve ever experienced at a Costco. The employees have always treated me well and I even have relationships with some of the people there. So this Allentown location optical I would never recommend ever to anyone unless you want to be mistreated and not have the policy of satisfaction guaranteed actually be true.

I've been purchasing my contacts at Costco a few years now. The counter help hasn't always been the best, hit or miss. Went last evening and scanned the qr code to register and received a confirmation on my phone. Waited my turn. While waiting, two other customers came in and scanned the code. Both were called ahead of me. When I interrupted and said I had scanned in 10 mins before both of them, I was told the computer makes the list, that's what they go by and I would be next. The lady who works there is not customer oriented. If you question anything, she's immediately defensive and sarcastic, like she was to me. So be it. I'm going somewhere else for contacts from now on.

I’m really upset by the treatment I received at Costco Optical. They called my number pretty early while I was still picking out frames. I asked if I should take a new number, and they told me it wasn’t needed and that I could just come up to the counter when I was ready. They also held onto my prescription and info behind the counter. The employee who initially helped me went on lunch and explained my situation to the person taking over, including that my number had already been called and I just needed a few more minutes. I again asked if I needed a new number, and he said no. I finished picking my frames pretty quickly after this and went up to the counter, but the employee kept looking at me, walking past me, and calling new numbers instead of helping me. In that time, several other customers joined the line, and he continued helping them while ignoring me, even though he was aware of my situation. After waiting while multiple people were helped, I eventually had to interrupt just to get my prescription back. Overall, this wasted about an hour and a half of my time and was handled very poorly.

My wife and I saw Dr. Barbara. Thank goodness she referred her to an opthamologist as her eye pressure was very high. Years after going to Crystal Vision in Bethlehem and they never referred her.

My wife, daughter and I went here for an eye exam and glasses recently for the first time. We were examined by Dr. Noel. She was fantastic. Pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. The receptionist (for lack of a better title) Connie I believe her name was, was also very pleasant and accommodating. The exam was quick and precise. We looked at glasses at the optical area, picked what we wanted and took our scripts to the counter. The staff behind the counter took very good care of us. Made sure we had what we needed for the glasses according to our lifestyles. Overall a very good experience. I will do a follow up once we receive the glasses.
