I saw Dr Siena today. I don't write reviews but this needs to be stated. She was rude, condescending when asked a question and I felt like my presence alone bothered her. She got my prescription within 3 slides and I didn't feel like I could ask her to try a different slide again. She was too annoyed. My left eye wasn't seeing well still but she just pushed me out. It was my first eye exam in 4 years so was hoping for a better experience. I got quoted for $130 for contacts exam and trial but charged $180. And I dont have insurance so it's cash pay and a difference of $50! Really bummed I didn't get to see the other doctor. I also work in the medical field and I could never imagine treating my patients like this.

I've worn glasses all of my adult life, and really since high school. I had what I thought were really wonderful optometrists, and even had one who is a close friend. Good people---but Dr. Siena has given me the sharpest prescription I've ever had. There is no question that the service and quality are superior. I've lived in Puget Sound for 4 years. I wish I'd found Dr. Siena when I first arrived--but glad I found her now. Excellent care!
*update* After being contacted by Dr. Louie and costco district management my complaints were addressed. I would recommend asking to be scheduled with Dr. Louie. I would not recommend the optician(s) that I encountered at this costco location. I made an appointment for an exam, about a week out to get new glasses. I was scheduled with Dr Hardin. The exam was incredibly quick and unlike anyother I've had in my 25 years of wearing glasses. He showed maybe 6 slides. Most of wich were the same with no real improvement or difference. I had a suspension my new prescription would be a problem. It was. The "robot" never let me know my new glasses were in. After 3 weeks waiting I called, they were there. When i picked them up, one pair didn't get the edges polished so they sent it back to the lab. I wore the other pair the next day for a few hours and was dizzy and nauseous, could not focus on anything with one eye. Called them, told them what was going on. Was told to come in for a re-check. I came inthe next day, and was told to reschedule. I rescheduled for a few days away (next available) with a different dr. Dr hardin is a known issue. The female Dr(sienna?) I seen was abrasive at best. She had an attitude that made me believe i was somehow offending her personally to second guess what the other Dr came up with in less than 10 minutes. She basically said it was my problem, I just had to deal with the rx. She was rude and condescending. I asked to just have the same rx I've had for 7 years and she was happy to give me that and get me out the door. She didn't want to re check, and i honestly didnt want her to at that point. I was happy to be out of her office. My glasses at the lab get the new lenses and they send them back to costco in just over a week. I pick them up today and the edges are still not polished and the rx is not the same as the glasses I'm currently wearing. I returned both pair after a huge headache regarding the type of debit card I use and can say with confidence I will not go to costco for my optical needs again.
I've been going to Costco Optical for glasses for years. Dr. Louie is caring, professional and thorough. The cost is reasonable and there are so many attractive frame options. Hunter was very knowledgeable and helpful with the ordering process. And I got a discount for ordering two pairs!
I recently received the best service from Anthony at the Lacey Costco Optical center that I have ever had from any Costco or other optical provider! He was extremely professional, thorough, efficient, courteous, and pleasant. He was patient with all of my questions and explained things well and clearly. Most importantly, he was able to adjust my new glasses to fit perfectly almost immediately - he has the knack and skills! A couple of days earlier when I went to pick up my glasses, another optician tried multiple times to adjust my glasses but she just made it worse and worse, and finally I left. She also made me feel rushed and didn't seem to pay attention to what she was doing (or didn't seem to care - at least that is how I felt). Thank you again, Anthony!!!
