Writing this on behalf of my elderly father. After spending over $100+ for an exam and new glasses, he was given the wrong prescription. He told the doctor and staff about the situation, and he explained to the doctor saying it was a lot of money for him. Her response was “too bad” and she never took any steps to rectify the situation. Absolutely terrible customer service.

I love shopping at Costco and the Optical department associates are top notch! They are always very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
I’ve been a patient here for several years and continue to be impressed with this clinic. A year ago the Dr. recommended a new strategy for me to give up readers (I was getting tired of them on my head all day!) and the contacts have been great! The staff is helpful when there are questions or I need something like my prescription emailed. I highly recommend this practice.
The optometrist I saw was nice, but recommended another monthly even though I stated multiple times I haven’t liked any monthlies I’ve tried. When I went to get a print of my prescription, the girl at the front desk said “Dang you’re blind!” When I went to refill my online contact refill, they denied my refill stating I needed an exam even though contact exams are good for 2 years and I was just seen 14 months ago. When I made the appointment, maybe this is my fault, but I clarified that my insurance was accepted and she said yes. I assumed that meant I was in-network. I ended up being out of network which would have been great to clarify with me when I asked about insurance. Like I said, maybe my wording of accept insurance wasn’t clear enough and I needed to say “in network” with my insurance. So I ended up having to pay a ton out of pocket for everything since I had to submit paperwork for reimbursement. All in all, a pretty all around bad experience.
Steve in the optical department is phenomenal. He took his time on the original visit and made sure that I left with something I would be 100% happy with. I got two pairs of prescription glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses for a very reasonable price. All my glasses were ready within a few days. I was delayed by work and couldn’t pick up my sunglasses for a couple of weeks, but he remembered me and our conversation two weeks prior, such as me mentioning my long commute and my field of work. I would absolutely recommend coming to him if you need glasses.
