Costco Optical

I’m very disappointed with the customer service I received from Costco Optical. I ordered frames and after more than a week passed without any update, I called to check on the status of my order. I was surprised to learn that they never had my order in the first place. I then went into the store hoping to get answers. After Chrissy told me to check in, she decided it was time for her break and simply walked away, leaving me without assistance. The lack of communication and follow-through was extremely frustrating. I’ve always liked Costco and generally have had positive experiences, which makes this situation even more disappointing. I expect better customer service, especially when customers are trying to resolve an issue that wasn’t their fault.

I stopped in today for new frames, lens and sunglasses. The customer service was top drawer and Sarah Beth was patient and super knowledgeable. She knows what she’s doing, so there’s no doubt my new glasses will be perfect! The other staff members were very friendly also! Great experience and great prices! Thank You, Sarah Beth for exhibiting the kind of service your employer should be especially proud of!

Shout out to Joseph in optical... we were traveling in the area this weekend and my daughter left her daily contacts at home... Only had the pair she wore when we left to get her through four days. We aren't even Costco members but went by as a last resort trying to find her enough pairs to get through the weekend. Joseph gave her two extra pairs and told us to enjoy our vacation.

Be aware that this Costco only does appointments with a technician followed by a virtual appointment with an eye doctor. As I would prefer an eye appointment with an in-person doctor, I will be going elsewhere in the future.

I've been coming here for both my eyeglasses and contacts for several years and have always received the best customer service. The optical staff are always attentive and patient, especially when I take my good ole time picking out the "perfect" frames. In addition to the great service, the Costco prices cannot be beat. The buyers do a great job with the frame selections and the quality of the final product far exceeds what I've experienced at other optical centers.
