I have used Costco in Huntsville for vision services twice now and have been very satisfied with the service and quality of glasses. Quick and friendly service. Have suggested to many of my friends.

Out of office multiple times during posted business hours but won’t renew prescription over the phone, double billed me, and forgot to order my contacts after waiting a month. I’ve never had such a hard time just getting regular things done as I have here.
Had an eye exam done here and got a prescription for contacts. One of my trial contacts ripped so I went in to get my rx and order new contacts and asked if I could have another sample pair of contacts until my prescription came in and explained I had a beach tripped planned at the end of the week and did not want to wear glasses on the beach. They said they could not give me another sample. I will absolutely not be coming here again and have never had that sort of experience at any other optical department. Do not waste your money or time going to Costco.
The optical department is filled with excellent technicians. I feel confident that I'm getting the best service and value from Costco optical. I took a pair of glasses that broke in the night and they fixed them within minutes.
My 17 year old daughter got an eye exam at the Huntsville Costco and was written a mild prescription, for contacts, to help see better when she drives at night. When trying to order contacts from Costco the staff was rude and unwilling to help her saying she didn’t have insurance and could not be found. After a few attempts to get this resolved she asked me to try and help her. I went into the office and requested her prescription and they gave it to me. I then went out and gave it to the Costco staff to order the contacts. I was told she was not covered under her Dads VSP insurance and that he didn’t have coverage for dependents. Not true! I had my contacts filled there and purchased glasses there the last two years. Finally after an actual call to VSP they found out her birthday was wrong. Ok. I order the contacts and paid for them to be shipped to our home. I was told that my portion would be a little over $100, but later when I checked my account it was almost $700. After driving 30 min each way, I went back to the store to see why I was charged that amount. The man helping me was a short at first, but became more helpful and told me that my insurance paid their portion and I was charged what the remaining balance was. I was also told that she was prescribed daily contacts which was why it was so expensive, that and an astigmatism. Five kids and all of them have astigmatism and they have never been suggested to wear daily contacts. Especially when this was their first pair. I asked to cancel the order and be refunded the money and was told no, immediately. Even though it was barely 24 hours from when I first drove there to order them. Without calling, or checking the warehouse the lady working tells me I will have to wait until contacts were delivered and then return them for a refund. I asked if they could cancel and she said no again. I later called the main Costco line and asked to talk to a manager and was transferred to a manager. I explained the problem I was having and he said he would look into it and see if they could cancel/refund the money. I am not sure if it was the manager or the rude lady who called me and let me know they went ahead a cancelled the order and would put the money back in my credit cards he then asked me if I wanted to drive back in to run my credit card to get the refund or do it over the phone. I had already made two hour long trips twice and my daughter three times. I told her no I didn’t want to drive a third time and I gave my credit card info to her. I got two calls back from Michelle (not sure who she is) saying they tried to put the money back in my account, but couldn’t. She then told me I had to drive in and get the cash. I drove back to Costco and took another hour out of my life because people who get paid to do a job, do not want to do it. Rude employees and terrible customer service. I will not be using Huntsville optical again!
