I also have been coming to see Dr. Meltzer for about 30 years. He has always been a caring, thorough and professional doctor. I would recommend him to anyone, however, I discovered that he has retired from his practice as of January 2025. I am indeed heartbroken. I will miss his snarky but precise political ramblings if I goaded him. I hate losing a trusted medical person. Now I have to get a dart and attempt to find another eye doctor who is probably going to be less than half the doctor and knowledge that he had. Oh well! Have fun in retirement Dr. M. gonna miss you man! Adios and nos vemos.

Dr. David W. Meltzer is an amazing professional with a big heart. He is one of unique people who is really interested in patient's recovery. There are not enough stars here to rate his professionalism and personal qualities. I brought my father to his office twice misdiagnosed and without any dynamics for improvement. Dr. David W. Meltzer corrected treatment to the proper one and made sure it works. Really appreciate all his work. The office overall is very clean. The appointments always started in time. Great experience and many thank you to the doctor and all staff.

Extremely rude Receptionist! I called in to schedule appointment in the morning and I said Good Morning and she rudely responded how can I help you and than when I said Good Morning once again she hung up the phone. She sounded like a mature Woman so I am shocked by this behavior coming from a grown Adult in professional environment that we are supposed to trust as a medical facility. Shameful because there are good reviews about the Dr and the face of the company whom answers the phone is rude!

Dr. Meltzer is one of the most caring doctors, concerned about his patience. He is the best doctor that I know I enjoy his service and I appreciate him very much because he’s very concerned about your conditions.

I have a very complex prescription with astigmatism and prisms, compounded by some neurological issues related to balance and focus. 5 years ago I was unable to get glasses made that didn't make me dizzy. I was referred to Dr. Meltzer at that time, but he was very far away from my house. I went and got glasses that worked. Fast forward to 2015 and I had 2 highly recommended ophthalmologist offices credit back my insurance because I just hated the glasses they made me. They looked embarrassing each time even though the light weight material. I was dizzy wearing them too. They even tried remaking the lenses. I couldn't remember Dr. Meltzer's name or I would have gone back to him. So I bit the bullet and started calling around. It took all day but I found him. And I just picked up 2 pairs of glasses, 1 for computer and the other for driving. I have a hard time at TV distance but I don't care.....I can't do bifocals because they make me too dizzy. He worked with me and the glasses are really good. One ends where the other begins and they are light weight. The lady that works the retail side said Dr. Meltzer oversees the lens lab there and is VERY particular. I think that is why I am only able to get my glasses here. They were not cheap, but they were worth it. I am a very frugal person and even when people say, "you get what you pay for" there are many, many areas in life where "ok" is good enough. I buy Hyundai, not Mercedes. However, this investment was worth it, every penny. Worth driving an hour too!
