I had an amazing experience with International Optical, thanks to Amanda. She provided absolutely great support throughout the entire process of getting my Oakley Vanguard glasses. Amanda was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly. If you are looking for excellent customer service and top-tier eyewear, I highly recommend checking them out. Ask for Amanda—she's fantastic!

We’ve gotten lenses here twice. They provide excellent service and high quality lenses. They answer all questions thoroughly and are very easy to schedule with. We highly recommend them!
Highly recommend! They were so helpful in fixing my sunglasses. Will definitely be back and be recommending to my friends and family. Thanks for everything!
Terrible experience at International Optical (311 Somerville Ave, Somerville, MA) on April 22, 2026. I paid $200 for an RGP contact lens exam. After the exam, I requested my contact lens prescription, but it was refused unless I agreed to additional conditions. When I insisted that I was legally entitled to receive my prescription, they refunded my money instead of providing it. It felt like the refund was used as a way to avoid giving me my prescription. This is a clear violation of the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act, which requires eye care providers to release a patient’s prescription after an exam without conditions. I have already filed formal complaints with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and the Better Business Bureau. Consumers should be aware of their rights before visiting this business.
They were MORE than generous in helping me find frames that worked for me both in looks and comfort. It was so convenient to have an eye appointment and purchase glasses all at one place! Highly recommend this local business.
