I had spent over a year with eye pain and frustration from a prior provider. Went to Dr. Daynes on a recommendation from a friend. It was a quick appointment, and I walked out with a new prescription and some trials of daily contacts. Well, he must know his stuff because using those trials was the first time in over a year I had been able to wear contacts all day without pain. Turns out my old prescription was wrong and Dr. Daynes nailed it immediately. Purchased contacts through a link they sent me via text and they used insurance, shipped super fast and I’m back to normal. Very grateful.

I went to Dr. Daynes because he’s an ophthalmologist and i’ve been having trouble with my eyes so I wanted to see a specialist who goes more in depth. This has been the worse experience i’ve ever had at any eye doctor. I went in for an annual exam so I used my insurance. I wish I went somewhere else because I feel like this was just a quick in and out to take my money. I saw the doctor for literally 2 minutes. The technician did my eye exam and it didn’t even feel right. My vision was still so blurry so i’m sure I have the wrong prescription. She did each eye on its own which is great, but didn’t check to see if I could see with both of the eyes open. Now I have to pay out of pocket at another doctor for an exam. I feel robbed, scammed, and brushed off. 10/10 do not recommend.
UPDATING 5/16: CHANGING TO 4 STARS. Office Staff ordered me a new pair free of charge. She personally apologized and took responsibility for the lost/not ordered glasses. Dr Daynes and the appointment went great. My issue is with the Office Staff and ordering glasses. I ordered glasses at my appointment on Jan 31. I have yet to receive them. I have called the office multiple times and even went in. Each time is a new story about why my glasses aren't here, we sent them to a different lab because of your insurance, the lab is closed, their website is down. Each time they say they will call me when they get a hold of the lab, I have yet to receive a phone call. I am always calling them. This alone will make me switch eye doctors. I have been going to Daynes for 10 plus years but will be switching.
Eye doctor did great with my eye exam. I just didn't like how the receptionist was pushy with sales and upgrades for my lenses. I was in need of a new pair of glasses as I didn't have a spare so I requested to expedite shipping. The lady lied about expediting my shipping and never called me that it was delivered. I called 2 times in different days in their normal business hours and left a message but never got a callback. I waited 15 days since the exam, and just walked in to see what was going on. Lo and behold, my glasses were in a pile of bucket and I got my expensive glasses. This feels like a 1 star review but because the eye doctor was great but everything else was unorganized, unprofessional, and expensive, I give it 2 star.
Everyone at Daynes Eye and Lasik was very friendly with the exception of Joy at the front desk. I know, ironic. We went there for several years with my kids. Joy usually seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by us. My kids even noticed her bad attitude. We usually had to wait several weeks for the glasses to come in. One time it was 2 months.
