I got completely screwed over because they didn’t properly check my eyes and gave me a prescription that made absolutely no sense. When I contacted them they tried arguing with me about my eyesight. They agreed to see me again after I told them I had bought a pair online myself with what I assumed was a better prescription based on the one they had given me two years prior. My right eye had substantially gotten worse over the two years yet they lowered my prescription for my right eye and no they didn’t make any other adjustment to the other categories for it to even make sense. My right eye was straining due to them lowering the prescription. When told them the ones I bought had a prescription of -2.00 instead of the -1.50 they were trying to give me when my old one was -1.75. All they did was change it to -2.00 but they didn’t check my eyes again. I contacted my insurance to explain I didn’t feel comfortable wearing the glasses and that I wanted to be retested but the office lied and said I was seen by the dr a second time. I didn’t I just waited in the waiting room behind the front desk while the girl working talked to the Dr. I basically lost my insurance coverage for a new prescription so I haven’t had an update one in like 3 years now bc of that. Since I only got coverage every 2 years

Incompetent and deceitful staff at both LA and Santa Ana location. The staff does not know or does not care to obtain proper authorizations for new patients. Called in August for an appointment, couldn't get one for until October. Went in October- they didn't have the authorization on file. I called my health plan, had them fax it- was told by the office that they received the fax and scanned it in. Was rescheduled for later in October, only to be told that the authorization they had on file was incomplete. DO NOT COME TO THEM. Both locations are horrible. I'd rather walk around blind than be helped by these people. If I could give them negative stars I would. Such a complete waste of time. Both offices need to be restaffed with people with more compassion, intelligence and competency. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. Check the other reviews on here. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.
I brought my mom to see her Ophthalmologist. Alejandra Uchio M.D. is super personable, patient, and extremely sweet. She is very thoughtful and breaks everything down for her patients. Kudos to all the staff they all make you feel welcomed and at peace. It seems that since our first visit to this place it has down graded in service to the patients. I’ve taken my mother to several other appointments and it seems that they don’t have regard for the patients time. They book appointment at 8am and the doctors don’t arrive until 9am. Nobody informs the patients of the delays. Needles to say that my mother won’t be returning to this place ever again. We are so disappointed with the OD’ s eye exam as well.
I've never been to an Eye Doctor who made so many appointments just to get glasses, when all I need is a new prescription, their glasses are way to expensive, I had to pay $50 for my prescription and went somewhere else to get my glasses And the wait is so long I saw them last month and had another appointment the following month, then when I showed up they said I needed authorization when they had a whole month to get it done. I won't go back, I don't like this place
