From the easy appointment process to the warm greeting in the clean sharply appointed office this experience was top notch the whole way. The cherry on top was the wonderful Dr. Avakian. Fun and informative, meticulous and highly professional but accessible and friendly. It’s like having a great friend who is also a badass optometrist. Can’t recommend Desert Eye highly enough!!!

EDIT from May 28th: i just called the office again and the (really sweet and helpful!) front desk person that answered my call told me that my account was marked inactive. This is the SECOND time my account has been marked inactive in the last 6 months even though I get my contacts, glasses, and prescriptions through this office. Why was I marked inactive AGAIN after I corrected it the first time? I can only imagine that is why they didn’t call to let me know my prescription had expired but unfortunately this is unacceptable. If it’s a system error, that should have been resolved the first time. I also won’t even be able to talk to someone about this issue until next week. Original post from May 22nd: I love this office but I just tried to refill my contacts and the front desk let me know that my prescription expired 4 months ago and now I can’t refill the contacts I need. Soonest they could get me in with my doctor? July 15th. Nearly 2 months from now. I’m supposed to wait without contacts for 2 months and thats not counting the time it’ll take to order them after I finally have the appointment. They NEVER called to let me know. Extremely disappointed, I have had communication issues with this practice in the past but this is a little ridiculous. They put me on a waitlist, and were able to set an appointment with a different doctor, but the reason I am at this practice is for Dr. Pearson, who is incredible.
Dr Pearson was wonderful! He was kind and explained all my options. Would recommend to those who are inexperienced with eye-care, and those who are experienced. Great experience!
Dr. Pearson was amazing. I switched to his office from a previous doctor at the recommendation of my spouse. I’m so glad I made the switch. He was so kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and funny. His staff is also friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to get ahold of.
I have been seeing Dr. Pearson for 20 years. He feels like "an old school" doctor that actually listens and cares. Every appointment is like visiting family. They also have a great selection of eyewear! I never had trouble finding a new pair of glasses I love. I love Desert Eye Care, highly recommend!
