So thankful to have Destination Eyecare in our community! The state of the art facility is so pleasant to visit and the staff are so kind and attentive. Dr. Rathbun is wonderful. She is so skilled and kind. Most of all I am thankful that they have invested in technology that allows them to detect problems early. I had the most pleasant experience at my Eye Appointment! Your employees were knowledgeable and fun to talk with, very courteous My Doctor was great, I enjoyed our little conversations. He made me very comfortable, like we've known each other for some time. My over all experience was FANTASTIC! I can't wait for my glasses
7-27-26 THEY CANCELED REFUND/OVER PAYMENT. On July 22nd, 2026 Sarah called me back to process the over payment that they required me to pay upfront months ago. 7-27-27 I was notified by my bank that Sarah with(Destination Eyecare Blountville Tennessee) then canceled my refund the very next day (7-23-26). So, it seems this business is hurting financially to pay their debts or simply just trying to silently steal from their patients. Original post My biggest issue with Destination Eyecare is that they demanded that I pay $160 up-front eventhough my insurance co-pay is $40. The advised that once insurance settled their part, they'd issue a refund. Over 4 months later, no refund, no acknowledgement of my contacting them and yesterday the BBB advised me that Destination Eyecare has yet to reply to them. Destination Eyecare is a professional, yet warm and inviting eyecare center. The facility has the latest technology in treating your eye care needs, especially dry eyes. The staff are kind and welcoming, and Dr. Tara Rathbun is a caring and knowledgeable optometrist. I highly recommend Destination Eyecare!
I had my eyes examined & glasses prescribed today by Dr Bowen & staff. I have been very grateful for the care I have been receiving at Destination Eye Care over the past few years. I always leave with a good understanding of any changes in my eyes & how to take care of any conditions that affect them. I feel sure that my eyes have been well cared for after an eye exam at this office.
