Lisa was nice and amazing thru the beginning process. The doctor was very energetic and nice. He explained everything in detail and went above and beyond. The gal that helped me pick frames gathered multiple choices and was very nice thru the process. The girl that took my payment was also kind. Now for the negative. Glasses take 10-14 days to come in. We had a great first visit! Thank you to all those at Dewitt Eyecare that made it so easy as a mom of three young children to get eyecare for both them and myself. Besides being awesome with kids, they have an amazing selection of kids glasses ages 2-5!

If you need an eye exam, go here. Seriously. I'm new to the area and was considering a few different options around QC and I picked Dewitt Eyecare just because it was closest to me. It was definitely the right choice. Every single person on staff treated me with the utmost care. From the moment I walked in it was a warm welcoming environment. The receptionists, Autumn and Amber helped me get the best appointment times, answered all my questions and processed my insurance and payment quickly and with a great attitude! The eye tests were the newest technology and all the ladies were so patient and kind while administering all of the tests. It was a very thorough exam and it really felt like they all cared deeply about the experience of every single patient who came in. The team worked like a well-oiled machine and there was no wait time during my appointments. My glasses came in a week early and they even got me in same day to do my glasses fitting! Everyone on the Team really ensured that I got the best eye care possible. There are Plenty of great frame options here as well!! Jocelyn and Kristie, helped me pick the most stylish frames I've ever had and made sure my new glasses fit to my face! and I got a pair of prescription sunglasses for 30% off! Of course, Dr. Hayward was a pleasure to speak with and he answered all of my questions with enthusiasm and care. Absolutely incredible team. My husband travels so he’s not able to always make appointments and he had an injury from a Nerf gun bullet which hit his eye we went to the hospital. The hospital said that he needed to see an optometrist we were in Dewitt and our optometrist. Dr. Hayward took time away from his family to come to help us and help diagnose his injury. We are so very grateful and blessed to have Dr. Hayward as Our optometrist he is one in 1million.

The first time I called today, I was trying to ask if you accept Iowa Total Care. The woman who answered hung up on me as soon as I asked—no explanation, no “no we don’t,” not even a goodbye. I called back and spoke with a different woman. I’ll admit I was frustrated at first because of the earlier experience, but I was able to calm down and have a respectful conversation with her. She answered my question politely, apologized for the previous interaction, and helped me understand pricing so I have an idea of what to expect to pay out of pocket. She was much more professional and respectful. I do wish I had gotten both of their names, but I wanted to share this feedback about the difference in service.
