They don't let you in the office to fill out the paperwork, the staff is not particularly welcoming. There was a huge dead roach in the ceiling panel. The doctor was great though. When I was ordering my glasses, I was not offered any additions to my lenses, no thinner lens or darkening, etc. Also, there were no measurements taken for my bifocal. Now I am trying to pick up my glasses and I was told what hours I could pick them up and nobody is there during those times! Terrible experience.

My friend and I went to this place, she had the appointment because It was the one that she was referred to by St Vincents. She’s disabled 77 y/o and doesn’t speak English and I was there to translate. We got there early, to do paperwork and the women at the front desk were rude to my friend right of the bat. Told her she had to wait outside and I couldn’t be inside with her. After I explained that I was there to translate it was ok but still had to wait outside in the heat and fill out the paperwork. After about 45 minutes we went in and the doctor was the nicest person to us. Very thorough and kind. We were in there waiting to check out and this white American guy came in and to my surprise the women at the desk were nice to him and took care of him fast and with a smile. Another lady came in to use the bathroom while she waited and said that the bathroom was filthy and they told her it was not their place. Doctor needs to send them to anger management classes. If I have my say she’s not coming back. Rude and disrespectful and heck.

After waiting two weeks to finally get my daughters in for their appointment. They called me to cancel the day befor their appointment as they had to close for the week. I was told I would get a call to reschedule Monday. I did not receive that call, so I called them and they told me they didn't have an appointment till September 23rd. And when asked if there was anything sooner she said nope that's what I have. I told them I would take my daughters elsewhere, her response was okay! They are rude and inconsiderate! They do not care about their patients. I would rather pay to take my kids elsewhere then deal with these people again! They are AWFUL and the most unprofessional people I have met.

The Doctor is nice— medicine seems to be too strong and everything is blurry when they’re on. We’re a family of 4 and we all left with glasses... only ones I know need them for sure are myself and possibly my daughter. Have to get another opinion. Staff is extremely, extremely, extremely rude! Not all!! One in particular! If I can help it— I won’t go back!! Doctor was lovely tho— may want to hire people that are just as kind!

Dr. Weitzen, I really hope you read your reviews. As many of your clients have stated, you are a very professional and nice doctor. However, also as many of your clients have stated, the receptionist at your Southside office is very difficult to deal with. She's short tempered and sometimes rude. She's impatient. I actually hate to call there because of her. Because she's at the front desk, she should be more professional and patient. I actually had to tell her today how she needs to be nicer. She tried to say it wasn't her and hung up the phone. Because enough people are saying the same thing about this lady, I'm asking you to please have a talk with her. I'm not trying to get her in trouble, I just think you should know so you can address the situation with her and make the necessary changes
