I had a frustrating experience at this Costco eye exam location. I received a prescription here, ordered glasses using that prescription, and after wearing them for about 2½ weeks, my eyes still never adapted. When I went back to Costco Optical, they suggested I check with the eye doctor to make sure the prescription was correct. When I contacted the doctor’s office, I was told their free recheck policy is only within 3 months, and since my prescription was about 5 months old, I would have to pay for another exam. I understand businesses have policies, but I find it unreasonable to charge a patient again when the issue may be that the original prescription was not correct. What makes it even more frustrating is that the prescription itself is valid for a year, but the window to have it rechecked is only 3 months. In my opinion, if glasses made from that prescription are not usable, a courtesy recheck should be offered. Very disappointing customer service
