Dr. Kristen Lee OD

Dr. Kristen Lee is amazing. However, the staff there could not care less about you. They really left a bad taste in my mouth both during my initial visit for eye exam and my subsequent visit to pick up my glasses. During my initial visit, the two people working at the front desk did not even look up at me, let alone greet me, when I entered, greeted them, and told them that I had an appointment. They looked as if I’m bothering them to no end. While I was waiting, I can hear some older blond lady loudly complaining about other patients. My whole day would’ve been ruined if not for the great interactions with Dr. Lee. When I came back to pick up my glasses within 30 minutes of them calling me, I arrived to find the door locked. Again, the folks working at the front desk did not even look up when I knocked. The blond lady later explained that the teenagers and homeless folks in front of the Ralph’s next door is making her feel unsafe so she locked the door (for “the safety of both of us” apparently, but I’m locked outside), and that I should’ve called them instead of knocking. I’m not sure why the staff here is so rude since the doctor is great. I probably would not come back due to the terrible experience with the staff. Too bad I really liked Dr. Lee.

Update - received a call from Dr Kristen apologizing for the poor customer service from the staff. She has dealt with the issue internally and I am thus revising my rating to 4 Stars. I appreciate that the doctor cared enough to call directly. The worst experience ever! My husband, M. took a pair of expensive high fashion glasses/frame to this optometrist office and asked if they can add his prescription. The engineer/staff said they could but it would cost more and take longer - 3 to 4 weeks. M agreed to the terms. After 4 weeks and no calls, M called for an update and was told it will take longer. Another week passed and M called again. This time he spoke to the technician working on the glasses. The technician reminded M that he was warned it would take longer and that his glasses weren’t the only ones being worked on. M said yes I know and that’s why I paid extra. But 5 weeks with no updates is poor customer service. Finally, toward the end of week 6, M received a text stating, “Congratulations, your glasses are ready so you can stop calling.” How rude! The worst customer service ever!

If you need your pupil distance do not go here for an eye exam. They will not only not give it to you, but the supervisor will come out with an attitude and rudely explain it's because they don't legally have to in California and don't wish to be sued. My prior experience with this woman was also quite bad and I'd hoped she was no longer there but she still is. This will definitely be my last time at this Doctor, which is a shame because the Doctor herself, and the receptionists are quite nice.

Been coming here since I was in the fourth grade now 32 yrs old. Never had a problem with the old staff loved them, always friendly and polite. New staff is okay. When I call I'm usually always put on hold immediately. Did like the old staff better.....

I have been coming for years and I love this place. I am always treated well by doctor lee and the staff! I give this place a 6/5! They answer calls well respected, when I walk in I am well welcomed. Sandra is the one who always helps me out and I truly think she is great! 6 stars out of 5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
