I chose Dripping Springs Vision Center because of its positive reviews, but my experience was quite different. For more than three months, I struggled with glasses that had the wrong prescription. I saw shadows above letters, could not read signs until I was remarkably close, and suffered blisters, pain, and headaches from wearing them. I returned more than fifteen times for help. Each time the technician adjusted the earpieces and stated that I needed to give my eyes more time to adjust. That never happened. After I requested a follow-up exam and waited weeks for the promised callback to schedule it, I was finally given an appointment. During the exam, the optometrist said my cataracts were worse than he had originally diagnosed and might be contributing to my vision problems. He wrote a new prescription but also told me I was still at least two years away from needing cataract surgery. I then brought in my old frames and asked that the new lenses be placed in them because the new glasses had never been adjusted enough to eliminate the pain and fit problems. It took more than three weeks for the updated glasses to arrive. During that time, I called three times for an update and told one time that someone would call me back with an update. I did not receive a callback. When the glasses finally arrived, the same vision problems remained: shadows above letters and difficulty reading signs from a distance. In addition, the earpieces on my frames had been adjusted even though I specifically asked that no changes be made. As a result, my frames were now painful to wear. By this time, more than three months had passed, and I still had glasses that were painful and did not have glasses with the correct prescription. The technician later emailed me saying the optometrist now believed I needed cataract surgery because this prescription was not working for me, which directly contradicted his statement just three weeks earlier that I would not need surgery for at least two years. At that point, I decided to stop working with this practice and requested a full refund. The technician emailed to confirm I would receive one, but I later received an email from the practice manager stating that the exam fee would not be refunded. I replied by describing my deplorable experience and pointing out that I had been told I would receive a full refund. I also stated in this email that I would be sharing my experience so others considering this practice would be aware of the poor service, lack of support, and misleading communication I encountered at DSVC. I absolutely would not recommend anyone go to DSVC for their vision needs.

I would like to take a moment to thank Dr. Nelson and her friendly staff for their professionalism. They all took their time and explained to me in a way I could understand, never made me feel like a number or a sale, which is refreshing in this day and time. At the last optometrist I visited, I had a negative experience; I felt like a number or a sale, which was the opposite of what I experienced at Dripping Springs Vision Center. As a result, I was very apprehensive about going to the Dripping Springs Vision Center or any Other Vision Center. I am positive it was the prayer I said before choosing an Eye Doctor, because there are so many to choose from. The summary is that I highly recommend Dr. Nelson and the Dripping Springs Vision Center staff because she evaluated my eyes and corrected my vision, thinking outside the box based on her experience. After the visit, I walked around saying Wow, I can see. Thank you Sincerely Mike Finley

Went for my annual eye exam and was very pleased with the service. It was easy to schedule online and submit the paperwork in advance. Dr. Dobson and staff are fantastic. On the day of my appointment I was seen on time and the appointment went smoothly. They have a great selection of glasses from well-known brands. Emily helped me pick out a new pair that day, and they arrived quickly thereafter. Emily even took my old glasses and tried to fix the loose arms for me even though I didn’t purchase from them. I’m looking forward to establishing permanent eye care here.

These people are very nice and they have top of the line equipment. I would have given them a five however I don’t feel like the doctor addressed my dry eyes and now the 600.00 glasses I bought I can’t see out of!!!! I told them day two it’s now been 8 weeks and I am wearing my readers. I went and got my money back today! They just couldn’t get it right.
