The fiviest of five stars that have ever five starred before. The ladies at the front were pleasant but the real gem of the whole place is Dominique. My kiddo was so nervous about getting glasses, and I had called ahead asking about options and explaining her apprehension. We went in the next day and she not only remembered that I had asked about pink glasses frames, she had them all laid out, was so soft spoken, was so patient, and never once rushed my daughter. Always a great place. But my appointment was at 11 and got in at 11:30. Really could do better getting patients in to been seen. The Tech openly blamed the patients. And my next appointment isn't until a year and half later. That's a little ridiculous could do better there too.

Always very happy with the customer service and the great selection of beautiful frames at White River Family Eyecare! They are very patient and are very helpful with the frame-choosing process! Dr. Heather Bourdeau was very thorough in her exam, as well as being lovely, friendly and funny. Highly recommend!

I have to preface this review that some of this has to do with my personal short comings in not scheduling a follow up appointment as I was leaving my last appointment, a year and a half ago. But, I feel like I have to say something. 1. When I was at my last appointment, Dr Bourdeau was absolutely amazing. She was kind, thorough, fun and I felt like I had hit the jackpot with her as my new eye doctor. 2. This summer I tried to schedule an appointment because I knew it was time and more importantly, I was having what might have been an urgent eye emergency. I was told that they are booking a year + out and after a few short questions, they decided my eye was fine! It felt like it was my problem, I was overreacting and frankly, I should have been better about scheduling. All fair. But… 3. Needless to say, the symptoms were concerning enough that I called another doctor , they got me in that day and I’m on my way to my third appointment tomorrow to figure out what is going on. 4. When I called to get my records sent over, I was met with, “Do they really want them? It’s been so long.” Again, made to feel badly. “Yes, they do want them. It’s been a year and a half and something is happening. They need a baseline”. I’m assuming with the interactions I’ve had, they are no longer taking new patients. If you do get in, be sure to schedule a follow up on your way out and most importantly, if you think there’s an issue- go find someone who will see you right away. Your gut is almost always right.

I have been going to White River Eye Care since we moved to White River Junction, VT in 2009. I had a semi-annual checkup today. They were on time (my wait time was less than five minutes and I checked in 10 minutes early). The tech was efficient and explained the various procedures to me. Dr. Dufor was also prompt, efficient, friendly and took the time to compare various test results with those from prior years. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Great place! Margo Howland
