Dr. Seth and his team are absolutely incredible. After losing much of my vision to migraines, I was shuffled between multiple eye doctors, neurologists, ENT's, and more over the course of three years. It wasn't until coming to this office that I had someone able to definitively answer my questions and diagnose my issue. It is not hyperbole to say vision therapy quite literally gave me my life back. My therapist Caitlin was amazing, answering probably a million questions I had and more. I had never heard of this kind of therapy before, and her knowledge and patience was very reassuring. As with all therapy, it takes time, but is more than worth it. Thank you all, Dr. Seth and everyone, for everything you do.

I was referred to East Tennessee Binocular Vision by Veterans Affairs for much needed vision therapy. The first consult was in December 2025. It’s now March 31, 2026 and I have yet to be scheduled for vision therapy. Whenever I call, I’m told the person in charge of vision therapy is busy or out of the office but they will call back and no one does. It’s been 3 months of trying to get the help I need. If you’re considering working with this office, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
The BEST people, both Dr. Seth and Caitlyn (vision therapist)! They deserve more than five stars. I have had really bad motion sickness, double vision, headaches, and other symptoms of binocular vision issues since I was a little kid, but no doctor had ever mentioned binocular vision dysfunction to me as a possible cause. Dr. Seth asked about these issues during my initial appointment and then did what felt like a very thorough assessment of my binocular vision. I was prescribed prism lenses that helped my symptoms noticeably within just a couple days. They also set me up with these amazing magnetic lenses that attach to my normal glasses to help with my light sensitivity and headaches related to fluorescent lighting. After a year, I had plateaued and was still having symptoms, so Dr. Seth recommended vision therapy. Caitlyn, my vision therapist, was AMAZING. It felt a little like going to see a wizard. She is incredibly skilled at identifying your exact binocular vision issues, explaining them, and individualizing the therapy based on your unique needs, She even helped me adapt my home exercises to fit in my tiny hallway, and also taught me a lot of quick little exercises I can adapt to do anytime and basically anywhere. It felt like she genuinely cared and I actually enjoyed going! The prism lenses combined with the vision therapy have made a massive difference in my quality of life. I can turn my head around in the car and even read on my phone while I'm in the passenger seat! Double vision is not a big problem anymore and I can keep my place on a spreadsheet much more reliably. I am so incredibly grateful for the care I received here!
Our family has been seeing Dr. Rhyne for many years. He corrected my son's vision, and switched his dominant eye with glasses and vision therapy, now he doesn't need glasses anymore. He stopped my headaches that were being caused by excessive eye pressure , and fixed my wife's depth perception problem with prism lenses. He's old, he's a character, and knows knows his craft well.
Very friendly staff. They have given me the best experience in eye care I've ever had. Highly recommend if you need more than standard eye exams/glasses.
