Horrible doctor. Pushed me into getting a procedure that was unnecessary. After he botched the surgery, he referred me to someone more competent to fix his errors. Dr Ng cares only about getting as many surgeries as he can, regardless of the need or situation. AVOID THIS DOCTOR.
I was referred to Dr Ng for cataract removal. He avoided eye contact and was minimally conversant...seemed to always be in a hurry. He handed me a couple of pamphlets to choose the type of lens I wanted but kind of pushed the multifocal lens, which were $3000 out of pocket and that does not include the other surgical related expenses. I never saw or heard from him again after the day of surgery even though I contacted the office to report decreased visual acuity post operatively. All post op visits were with an optometrist who works in his Kona office. He never was able to give a plausible answer as to why my my vision was blurred; all I got from him was word salad. I also requested copies of my medical records but his staff only provided office notes; no surgical notes. I returned to the optometrist who originally referred me to Dr Ng and they confirmed that my vision was worse post operatively than prior to the surgery. They referred me to a cornea specialist in Honolulu who after further, extensive testing explained that unfortunately he could not correct the problem surgically and that even corrective glasses would not help. He said the reason my vision will forever be compromised is because the lens was not centered over the cornea. This was quite a blow. I would never refer Dr Ng nor Dr Lillo to anyone after this expensive, unfortunate bad surgical outcome.
Outstanding Professional, — experienced, personal, well educated, and exudes confidence in pragmatic diagnosis and treatment. And a big bonus is Dr. Perry’s staff is competent and caring. Highly recommended.
The service here was excellent! Their receptionist very professional & courteous! Dr. Ng. makes us feel welcomed and important and he listens to our concerns. I recommend this office and their services! Office visit was quick and appointment moved fast!
