Recently saw Dr. Laftus at Eye Associates north. She was great. I felt she thoroughly checked what the problem was, and checked for other brewing issues in a logical order. I felt she was very competent and concerned for my well being. Also very knowledgeable and professional. Just the way you would hope a Doctor would be which I appreciate. Would definitely recommend.

I was having a problem with an eye that I was extremely concerned about. My do it couldn’t get me in for two weeks but recommended eye associates for a quick appointment. I was very grateful they got me in so quickly and in a Saturday morning. However the provider was obviously held to some time limit. She talked in medical terms, and in the midst of her examination and an assistant ran into the room typing quickly and abruptly IN THE MIDDLE IF THE EXAM. She spent a good 3 minutes cleaning the lenses of the machine prior to this. And then spoke only in medical terms and acronyms. Once complete she very quickly gave me the diagnosis. I had to ask her what terms she was speaking meant. She didn’t put any of it in detailed layman’s terms. I was still talking to her as she was trying to leave the room quickly. She NEVER asked if I had further questions. I believe all of this is related to the provider and maybe expectations to keep appointments brief. If she hadn’t spent so much time cleaning the machine maybe she would have had more time to spend with me, the patient.
My appointment was with Dr. Syze But before that I needed to have labs done and they were very courteous I’m very thorough and I appreciate it then I went and seen the doctor. My wait time was very short. Thank you for that and the doctor was very nice. Very courteous. First time I met him very thorough. He went through my chart he checked you know my eyes explained everything to me explained exactly what he saw. Answered all my questions very thorough. I was very comfortable speaking with him and I will be seeing him again in six months so I have no anxiety or no apprehensions at all and I suffered with white coat syndrome so to be this relaxed it’s very comforting to say I enjoyed my appointment my visit with him would be accurate thank you and I look forward to my next visit with Dr. Syze
I have been a patient at Eye Associates for many years, and have always been pleased with my care there. This past week was the first time I’ve needed to request an “urgent” appointment. I was surprised that I was given an appointment early on Saturday morning. Everyone in the office was very pleasant. Dr Saiz was outstanding. He immediately addressed the problem, explained what it was, and then explained how to take care of it. He answered my questions in a straightforward manner. Thank you Dr Saiz and Eye Associates.
Dr. Fillmore at New Mexico Eye Associates was very professional and kind throughout my visit. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable during the appointment. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I truly appreciated the care and attention I received and would highly recommend Dr. Fillmore to anyone looking for an eye doctor in New Mexico.
