I had a great experience with really nice custom service. Every single person I interacted with was great. My doctor remember me from one meeting one year ago which may seem simple but to me it was personal. To be remembered acknowledged and cared for by someone who really cares is very important to me. I cannot think I associates of the North Florida enough.

My first appointment with the eye center was flawless. Everyone was kind, patient and professional. The Wait time was minimal. Maybe 5 minutes. The receptionist s was very thorough and helpful. C. J.Made me feel at ease. She was Kind, friendly thorough and very professional. Dr. Weaver was also very nice. He was direct and to the point. No fluff, which I liked. . Everyone I encountered had a smile on their face. Thank you to all the staff. I look forward to my next visit.😀

After my Chalazion (similar to a stye) removal surgery, the two techs helping Dr.Louie did not provide any discharge paperwork for instructions on next steps and how to care for my eye post surgery. When I asked the techs "when can I start using things in my eye again, such as mascara?" she responded "tomorrow" and that was the only post surgery instructions I received. The other tech (male) stood there next to her and said nothing. An hour later, I felt the need to call to confirm instructions and the receptionist told me as she reviewed my file that the Doctor had requested I use over- the-counter Tears brand. Unfortunately, this made me aware that proper protocol wasn't followed as I was not given any verbal or written instructions by Dr. Louies or the techs post surgery on taking care of my eye. I went back the next morning in person to request antibacterial drops or ointment to make sure the incision in the inside of my eye didn't get infected. When I arrived, a new tech came to speak to me near the receptionist area and was honest and told me they had no discharge on record in my file, which he said meant I never received my instructions. He said this was a mistake on their part and that he was going to talk to his team about this. He provided artificial tears and ordered an antibacterial medication for my eye to prevent infection. I asked him whether the techs were qualified to provide discharge and the required paperwork for post surgery care instructions, and he responded "yes." I then told him that there were two techs in the room post surgery, and he looked surprised. His eyes widened, and this gave me the impression that there was even greater error on their behalf. Lastly, I left grateful for the new information and that I would receive my medication. When I got into the car, I realized I still had not been given my post surgery instructions paperwork. After googling, I found helpful instruction on how to care for my eye. This included not wearing make-up on the eye for at least 1-2 weeks and that I should have been applying cold compressions to prevent inflammation post surgery and help the eye recover. Also, after reading this is when I realized that immediately after surgery, patients may also receive a temporary eye patch to prevent infection. I was not given an eye patch. The team in the front is exceptional and kind. My procedure went well by the doctor. After that, I'm not sure how the ball got dropped by the two techs or the doctor. On the picture, you can read the step by step process of the surgery I had, and then the average instructions given post surgery to prevent infection of the eye and eyelid. I give 2 stars for the work completed, and take away 3 because this is actually terrifying and shows negligence for patient care.

Not only is the staff friendly, but so is Dr. strickland. Not only was she friendly, but I felt so at ease with her while we were talking and discussing during my appointment. And the wait time is amazing. They honestly treat you like Family there and that is Something that I truly appreciate

I thought long and hard, slept and prayed before choosing to leave this review. In April we were referred to this establishment by urgent care for what we thought to be a stye over our daughter's eye. Urgent care stated it may have been something other than a stye because it was a hard ball that moved around. At the first appointment not much was done (which was understandable) it was a consultation for scheduling surgery to have it removed. We were given suggestions of what to do in the meantime. The appointment for the surgery was set for 05/29. On 5/29 we showed up for the appointment signed off on the consent for treatment/surgery. The appointment dragged out for an extended period of time only for the doctor to start the entire process over again treating what supposed to be surgery as another pre surgery consult. When I tried to explain we went through this at the last appointment she let me know that everyone there works differently and this is how she works. Then said she is the only there to do this procedure so she is doing it they way she prefers which essentially the exact same as the previous appointment. Zero value for the time or costs mixed with the poor bedside manners did not make for a great experience. I expected better service. I will give credit the front desk team are amazing. But that is where it ends and you land on the island of "mean girls" past that point. When I left the appointment my daughter felt defeated and that was a valid feeling. Having to continually pay specialist copay and take off from work for the same discussion is frustrating. Be up front say what is to be expected so people can make an informed decision. For what we got we could have continued with urgent care which has a lower co-pay and did not take no where near as long. To top it off the feeling of mistreatment was validated when I walked back in because I forgot my Stanley in the room and I overheard the doctor talking to a coworker about me mocking what I said to her. Then she realized I was there and tried to clean it up as if she was just caringly trying to explain to me the process. At this point with the information I have so far I will find someone else to treat my daughter but I thank you for information before I referred the entire family here for eyecare needs.
