Eye Boutique

I have been going to the Eye Boutique in Schaumburg for a very long time - since the mid 90s when they were over on the Wise Rd. location long before moving over to a strip mall on Irving Park Rd. Dr. Sesso has been my family's eye doctor for many many years. Over the years, while my family has remained in the Schaumburg area, I have moved around the country quite a bit having lived in Houston, New York City and Washington D.C. Despite all of the moving around, I have remained a satisfied patient of Dr. Sesso and always make my annual appointment when I know I'm back home to visit family and friends. Over the years the office staff has been the wild card. Some experiences are better than others in terms of helpfulness and overall demeanor. The last few years I've not had much interaction with the staff other than check-in and out. I usually get an eye exam there but purchase glasses elsewhere for budget purposes. That used to not be the case, but Eye Boutique retail has really gone up in price, so I shop more affordably elsewhere. I made an appointment about two weeks out and it was not until I arrived for my Sunday (6/28/26) morning appt. and was checked-in that it was brought to my attention that my insurance plan was due to reset the day after the appointment. Therefore if I wanted to be seen, I would have to pay out of pocket. I kindly asked the associate if the visit could be invoiced for tomorrow (seeing that the appointment was scheduled on a Sunday, would insurance really be ran on a Sunday? Or probably Monday I would think.) The associate said they would check with the manager and about two or so minutes after texting someone on their cell phone, said they couldn't get a hold of the manager and so they could not do a loyal customer of 25+ years a solid and invoice the visit one day later. Needless to say I was NOT seen by Dr. Sesso and the appointment was cancelled as I was not going to pay out of pocket for an insurance benefit that I do have. Note to office manager, maybe you should review the clients who have upcoming appointments and check their statuses to make sure they are in fact eligible for the time/date in which the system allowed for an appointment to be made. Thank you Dr. Sesso for all of your years of care and compassion for me and my family. I will always think of you when I am getting my eye exams elsewhere and responding to lens options 1 or 2. 3 or 4.

I had two glasses with with broken string on the rimless frame. Jon, Manager at the repair services was quick in fixing both the glasses by restringing the lens to the frame. It was quick less than 5 minutes fix to both the glasses. Jon cleaned the lenses and was very kind on offering to fix the bend on one of the glass frame. Overall excellent customer service and highly recommend Eye Boutique Schaumburg for eye glass repair services along with regular eye exams with the most experienced eye doctors in the Chicagoland area.

The Manager, Jon, was extremely helpful in assisting me with all of my eyeglasses needs. It’s refreshing to see nice people, who are also kind! Thank You so much! Highly Recommend!

I went to get my glasses adjusted and my lenses are totally scratched up. Vertical lines in an irregular shape over parts of my lenses. I went back and they said “it’s the anti glare” even though the area doesn’t cover the whole lense and I am getting way worse glare than before. My family went here for years what a shame they must not pay their people enough or something because they totally avoided the issue and I just didn’t feel like fighting them. Never taking my business here again.
