Love this place, staff is great and understanding. Been coming here every year for 6 years, and now my whole family comes. I live 2 hours away so we have to plan accordingly. The wait times are long(1-4hours), but they are very busy. Always looking for places to check out while we are here. Still have alot to explore. The scenery is AMAZING

I had a really good experience at Eye Care for the Adirondacks today! 👓 The staff was awesome, friendly, and very helpful. I also have to give credit where it’s due — the wait times have improved a lot. It’s not that the staff was ever horrible, because they weren’t, but the long waits used to be frustrating. ⏳ Today was a completely different experience. The lady who adjusted my glasses was amazing and took great care of me, and Donna was able to get in and out within about an hour. That kind of improvement really stands out. 🙌 As someone who helps run Joe’s Barber Shop here in Plattsburgh, I know how much good customer service matters. We’re always trying to build more local community too — including through our Joe’s Barber Shop Plattsburgh app, where people can keep up with shop updates and local community posts. Great job to the whole Eye Care team! ⭐👏
This office has serious issues with scheduling, wait times, and patient communication. Appointments are clearly overbooked. Even when you arrive on time, it’s common to wait 30 to 60 minutes before being seen, and you often spend more time in the waiting room than you do with the technician or doctor. Everything feels rushed. Communication is another major problem. I’ve called five times recently and have not been able to reach anyone locally. Every call has gone offshore. One woman told me this directly, another said he was just an answering service and instructed me to leave yet another voicemail. This gives the impression that patient questions and concerns are not a priority. That said, the doctors themselves are excellent. Dr. Reidell is remarkable and has given me the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had at this location. I used to dread going to the eye doctor because no one truly listened to me about my vision or how contacts felt. That has completely changed. She is competent, direct, and clear in her explanations, and I now look forward to my checkups because of her. I would rate her a 10/10. I’ve been coming to this office for over 15 years and previously saw Dr. Kirkpatrick before he retired, so I have a long history with this practice. I’ve also seen Dr. Frechette once in Dr. Reidell’s absence, and he was outstanding as well. He has a professional, reassuring manner that makes you feel comfortable and confident in your care. On the positive side, check-in is usually quick, the waiting area is not overly crowded, and there is plenty of seating.
I got a thorough eye exam. The dr said I could ask questions after she examine my eyes. When she was done I asked if I get this eye disorder and she said no you have it. This is the first time I was told that. Then she said if you need more talk to the girl in the office. It would have been nice if the dr. Could have discussed the condition . I need this info from the dr. Not sent me with a bunch of papers.
I went there for my eye appointment my eye exam got my new pair of glasses I'm very happy all of the girls were very nice kind patient helpful informative and the doctors were really great and the optical was really helpful
