After waiting 40 minutes for my exam, first time at this office, I was not greeted nicely by Dr. Getz who never met me before, let alone any apology for waiting so long. Then in the exam room, never tried to make any friendly connection, no eye contact other than when she was examining me, never even cracked a smile when I tried to crack a couple of jokes to break the tension; it was truly unbelievable that someone would treat a new patient that way. Then *after* the exam, she tells me that if I don't get the lenses from her office she is "not liable" and hands me paperwork with my prescription that also says this. The FTC has a law against this exact thing. When I called the office today they tried to play around with the wording to make is seems that it means something different, but it does not, I checked the FTC website again. I got my lenses done at Costco which has fantastic lenses and both the reading and distance were wrong, and not a little wrong, very wrong. The optometrist at Costco was nice enough to take the time to have me try and read things from his chart and verified that it was wrong. I spoke to the office at length asking to explain and see the other doctor who works there to have them check my prescription, and I was told that I cannot come back to see the other doctor because it wouldn't be fair to the office to have someone come back with a "chip on their shoulder about the office" that I should go somewhere else to get it corrected. The person on the phone also told me, "you said that you were waiting 40 minutes for your exam?" I said yes and then she said, "well then how would you like it if you were kept waiting more because I am keeping the people waiting in the office now while we are on the phone going around in circles?" Just wow... I never yelled at her, I tried to be as nice as possible even after the terrible service I received and waste of time getting a bad exam and then glasses filled with the wrong prescription, I was just trying to use logic and reason as to why the office that gave me the incorrect RX should be the ones who correct it. This office is obnoxious from start to finish. I am truly shocked that any of these good reviews are genuine after my experience. The only positive thing I will say is the the exam seemed thorough, although that's not really helpful when it's inaccurate.

Watching my youngest get her eye test for the first time was very refreshing. She was very comfortable with the doctor and loved her visit. My oldest was with us ans she said "mom i like this doctor." So I would definitely keep coming even though vision is not covered in my insurance. Staff is friendly and helpful as well.
