This was my first visit there. I was seen at my appointment time, which was nice. The tech who did my vision testing was extremely courteous. When I met the eye doctor, I felt at ease with him. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Treated like cattle is probably an overstatement but it caught your eye. My very firstl visit to an eye doctor was not as anticipated. Although my vision is generally adequate, I decided to utilize my Medicare Advantage offer for a complimentary vision check. While I do require reading glasses, I experience no difficulty driving. Despite being a physician, I occasionally feel apprehensive when attending medical appointments. Upon arriving at ECPS at 7:30 a.m. for my scheduled 8:00 a.m. appointment, I noticed two receptionists at the front desk, but the office door remained locked. By 7:45 a.m., five patients were waiting outside in the cold (45 F). The doors were opened precisely at 8:00 a.m., which felt somewhat unwelcoming. In my own practice, doors are opened early for patients with 8:00 a.m. appointments to provide extra time for paperwork or simply to allow them to wait comfortably indoors. Additionally, having cars idle in the parking lot for warmth is undesirable from an environmental standpoint. As the third patient, I sought a seat due to discomfort from a knee issue. As more individuals arrived, seven of them formed a line. I was ignored until I was the last remaining. This indicated a lack of attention at the front desk; their seating arrangement made it difficult for staff to see over their monitors. However, the check-in process proceeded quickly once I was acknowledged. I have to say that the other patients saw me sitting there, but when the call for next came, I was ignored. The appointment itself was satisfactory, though I was unfamiliar with the procedures involved in an eye exam. It would have been beneficial to receive basic information about what to expect. Staff members did not visibly wear name tags; I had to ask each of the three assistants for their names individually. One pointed to a badge positioned low, while another appeared uncomfortable when asked her name. Dr. Erickson introduced himself, but offered minimal explanation and seemed somewhat disengaged during the encounter. He departed the room without providing further clarification. Probably the worst bedside manner I have seen in a long time…..Apparently Yale (or Ohio) does not teach proper physician patient interactions…Oh but wait, you must be willing to spend an extra minute or two, which Dr. Erickson clearly wasn’t going to do. I left the clinic with my eye prescription, subsequently using AI resources at home to interpret the results. I plan to order new glasses online. I won’t go back, but I will leave you on a positive note: Derrick the technician was a bit of fresh aire. He was personable and willing to have a conversation, hence 2 stars instead of one.

I am a glaucoma patient who has been looking for a great care. I am also diabetic, recently my vision has been worse and worse because of catract. My left eye's vision is hasy and cloudy and right is more burry than before. I am still in the mid 50's who needs to drive and run for many errands such as grossary shopping. I had an appointment of a doctor's check on April 23 and waited to hear from a surgery coodinator to schedule my catract surgery. I didn't hear anything, so i called a direct number but it was answering machine. I left a message on April 27. I had not heard back anything, so I called again on April 30. A coodinator got it and told me that she called me back on April 28 but my voice mailing was not set. I could not realize that by myself and that was used for an excuse like "I DID YOU CALL BACK BUT YOU DIDN'T GET IT." Was that my fault? I was told that I had to wait to schedule my surgery because she had not yet talked to patients who had seen with the doctor on April 13. I had no clue how many patients had not been scheduled at the time. I called her on May 5, and ansering machine said that she was on vacation until May 11. I asked my husband to make a call on May 13, and she said him that there were 8 patients were ahead of me because the ex coordinator had left a job and that was why I could not schedule my surgery yet. I am totally fine with a person who is honest and does not excuse me a crap at a single time... Please be proffetional!!

I have had two experiences here, the first was with Dr. Bingham, he was sooooo cold, unempathetic, and almost felt like I was being looked down on.. The building he is in threw me off at first as its where my late husband had his chemo, he died 10 months later. Was kinda tough walking in, then get greeted with arrogance and the lack of care was disappointing. THEN 2 years later I go back for an eye exam with Dr. Erickson who immediately copped an attitude when I told him I get instant vertigo migraines when the dilate my eyes, and the last 3 times ended up being in the eye doctors bathroom on the floor puking. He did not like that, explained to me why they dilate, which I am clearly aware of why ( 40 years working medical). In the end I got an rx for glasses no explanation as to what my vision is or isn't.. Asked if when I will need cataract surgery and he said "You tell us when you want it" WHAT??? Do I have them, how bad are they...I do NOT reccomend this office if you want any customer service at all. Also walked in at 8 am, no one there but me, 6 girls at the front desk, taking orders for breakfast, etc. Took them at least 6 minutes to acknowledge me. anyhoooo....thats my 2 cents take it or leave it, but I am done with these docs myself....

Was recommended by my Ophthalmologist to Dr Warner. First visit went well. Second visit I was told I needed to keep taking my eye-drop prescription, but discovered I had lost it, so. I immediately same-day called requesting another prescription in order to comply with Dr Warner's instructions. Called again the next day inquiring where that was at, and then the next day. NOTHING AS OF YET!!! I canceled my f/u appointment for 3 weeks out, since he is not concerned enough to make sure I'm taking the medication I'm supposed to. "3 Strikes, you out!" Me giving Eye Care Physicians and Surgeons a ZERO star.
