Update (8-19-26) HORRIBLE I purchased only one pair of progressive lenses and frames from this company 5 months ago. You can read for yourself that the owner is "refusing to hold his wife accountable for terrible salesmanship, and customer service". Instead, he is blaming the patient. I have only had my current lenses for about 4 months and the anti-glare is now peeling so badly that I can barely see through them. As I have verified with a real optician, my four month old left lense is 100% defective and I have been blamed for scratching it? The right lense is also very close to defective. The owner is refusing to listen or communicate with the patient and will only listen to his wife. This should be a " no brainer warranty return". Currently, I am still forced to wear defective glasses that I spent almost $1000 for. This is some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced from any medical office in my life. I now must take this company to court to get them to fix or refund my defective eyeglasses. TBC (Original )For the past 4 months, I have been dragged through every incompetent decision that this office has made. In my experience with Eye Institute, there hasn't been even one instance where the patient is right. I've been fitted incorrectly , told that I'm sensitive when the fit is wrong , and then coaxed into accepting poor fitting frames with scratched, blotched, or "lab marked" lenses. Three times I've waited for lense replacement, yet I'm currently still stuck with a blotched lense and a wobbly armed frame.. I've tried to reach out to the owner here for weeks, to discuss my situation, but to no avail. Currently, they refuse to do a refund , and gave me an ultimatum to either "return to same staff member who is failing and nobody else" or hold my peace. This has truly been a brutal experience ! Looks like I just got ripped off for a thousand bucks. Stay far away !! Trust me *7/8 update* I sure hope that anyone who reads this review can recognize how irrational and unproffesionally this staff behaves towards patients. As the doctor just illustrated, the patient is never right. I'm not sure where the doctor is getting his information, but it isn't from me. I spent 17 days waiting on a reply from him, as I'm currently wearing a blotched lense and a wiggly arm on brand new glasses that I just spent $1000 for. I never scratched anything, their office has the first two defective lenses in their possession ! They aren't scratched, they are marked. Apparently, the doctor is only kidding himself. I'm wearing the third defective lense as I type this.. You "allowed" me to spend 1k at your office? Do you realize how insane you sound? I never once had an issue with the script, the issue lies with terrible fitting, poor adjustments, and defective lenses. To reiterate, Stay far away from this office !

Dr Heacox is awesome I don’t live in the area any longer and travel to see him. He takes his time and explains everything to you. I will continue to be a patient of his for sure!

Dr. Peacocks is absolutely the best! He is extremely thorough, intently listens to concerns, he deeply cares for his patients, follows up, provides support in explanations of care, suggests acts to maintain good eye health. He is very pleasant and cordial. He treats you like family in both care and general interactions. I will go to NO OTHER optometrist! I HIGHLY recommend the Eye Institute.

My experience with Dr Heacox is always pleasant. He is thorough, listens to what you have to say, and explains things in a way you understand. I always feel comfortable with him. The staff is efficient and pleasant as well. I would highly recommend them.

Doctor Heacox was extremely knowledgeable and amiable. He rid me of anxiety, told me about the solutions to my problem, and began scripted treatment. He was very competent. Very polite office staff….
