Dr. Brett Compton and his staff are professional, courteous and kind. All concerns were diagnosed/addressed and excellent guidance provided. From the moment I arrived, throughout the entire exam process, my visit was seamless and ran like a well oiled machine. Eye Physicians has a plethora of frame choices and make finding the perfect pair simple and easy. Truly a pleasant experience and I would confidently recommend Dr. Compton and Eye Physicians of Southwest Virginia. 5 Stars.

Dr Owens was very nice. I was treated with respect. I would not and will not refer anyone to Dr Compton. He was rude and acted like I interrupted him from his spa treatment. Very unprofessional. Also watch about billing. I never leave without paying my copay. But I received a bill. One receptionist said it was for my February appointment the other said it was for my December 2025 appointment. I know I paid both.

I absolutely love Abingdon Eye Physicians! Dr. Compton is fantastic, he is always kind, thorough, and takes the time to make sure you feel well cared for. The office is beautiful and very well maintained, and every staff member I’ve interacted with has been friendly, welcoming, and efficient. I’ve always had a great experience and received excellent care. I highly recommend Dr. Compton and the entire team at Abingdon Eye Physicians!

My experience at this facility was very satisfactory. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. They had very modern up to date equipment. They were very thorough in their testing and listened to my issues. They have a fantastic selection of frames and staff to complete my purchase. Dr. Sample was vey knowledgeable and helpful In getting me the best results to meet my needs.

Dr. Elswick was so very nice and a pleasure to meet! He addressed my concerns, and was very attentive and so very helpful! He found a hair in my eye - and tell him I actually found another one later that evening! I think I have too many cats! Lol! I highly recommend Dr. Elswick to anyone who needs a professional and super personable eye Doctor! :) All of the staff I met that day were all very nice! I also appreciate the technician for straightening up my glasses frames!
